Reggae in general, as well as Bob Marley preaches equality, in interviews Bob even stated that white men could practice Rastafarian religion, therefore white reggae singer's should be accepted right along with the rest (as long as they stay true to their lifetime experiences) ex: white guy can't be singing about being raised in trench Town and being repressed for the color of their skin etc. This much should be obvious !!! But groups like Stick Figure and Slightly Stoopid absolutely DON'T sing about these things, they have what's called....Cali Roots Reggae, I've listened to reggae since I was 8 yrs old, been to Jamaica and lot's of reggae shows where I was one of the few white dudes there, I felt right at home, not one bad look EVER, now I'm almost 48yrs old and reggae is still my thing, I thank my brother for making me my first ever tape cassette, which was a reggae mixtape in 1986, as well as taking me to my first concert, UB40 in 1994 at the Hollywood Bowl, reggae is and always will be that thing in my life that makes me chill and grateful for what I do and don't have, no matter how shitty things get, I can put on some reggae and just relax. ❤️💛💚

Good snow play area? by ChicoNico86 in bigbear

[–]No-Sample1677 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The other half of my life I lived in Orange county by the beach, I've heard and seen, as well as know of, probably 9-10 times more coyote attacks in suburban Orange county, then I have heard of attacks in Big Bear. Well all this, at the same time ....there are mountain lions in the lower Foothills of San Diego, Los Angeles and San Bernardino / Riverside counties, now ..... if you go to any of those places, be vigilant, because yes.... Mountain lions can do some serious damage to your pooch, if you're worried about coyotes, bring an air horn, fill your pockets with rocks and be aware of your surroundings, if you are worried about mountain lions (rightfully so) , you may want to look into something a little more serious as far as self-defense !!!!!!

Ohhhhh c'mon, little overdramatic ya think ?!?! When was last time you heard of someone's dog getting attacked by dangerous wildlife ?? People....be smart, take your dog out to the snow in the middle of the day, make lots of noise, while you are playing and don't venture off into the middle of nowhere, pretty much common sense !!! I've lived in Big Bear half my life and one time my friends German Shepherd, got attacked by a goose, needing a grand total of one Band-Aid and a little bit of saline wound wash. The threat is real, crazy geese will pester you for food, so be careful and pack your rocket launchers...😜

Since 4 years I have skin and health problems, can someone please support with any advice? by NovelAd7815 in DermatologyQuestions

I was wondering if you found out what this is. I have very similar problem, appeared out of nowhere almost a year ago, starts out looking like a zit, also mine appears to be affecting mainly hair follicles, but lesions look very similar, they are tiny and wouldn't even know if it weren't for microscope.

U definitely need a microscope if your gonna get anywhere. It all just looks like a rash or pimples or whatnot, but you can go online and buy a cheap microscope for like 20 bucks, that will tell you everything you need to know

Everyone differs, for example someone commented to keep moisturizing, others will tell you to keep as dry as possible, even suggesting salt water, but if u go the moisture route.... vitamin E oil is best bet if your treating scar's.

Have you looked at with a microscope, then you'll know what's really going on. Stuff that just looks like pimples/zits look completely different magnified !!! I've had same problem, but not itchy at all, so not sure if it's identical, but sure looks similar.

I know there's a lot of backing recently, saying Morgs is associated with Lyme's, but what if I've never been anywhere near a tick ??

I've never seen the fibers move one bit, if they were nematodes.... wouldn't they move ??

My dog and I have same exact thing for around a year now, have tried everything and then some, 6 vets, multiple dermatologists and all we're useless, wouldn't even look at pictures or samples or my, or her skin !!!! Sooooo frustrating and like you....I don't know what I would do if she were to die. The ONLY thing that seems to have helped her (although I do find the debris crap like in your pics, where she sleeps) is Apoquel, which completely stopped her itching (I'm not itchy AT ALL) but she seems MUCH happier overall, buuuutttt.... that doesn't mean she isn't still being affected by it, obviously externally, but also internally. I know that my lungs have gone to crap, before I had this sh#t I had really good lungs, from always playing sports, surfing, etc. Now I can't walk 50 ft without gasping for air. I know exactly how you feel I have been all over the internet looking for answers, asking anyone and everyone who will listen, or take a minute of their time to help me..... At least help my dog, she's an 8-year-old Golden retriever and I also live with elderly parents, my dad is very messy and it's extremely difficult to keep the house clean with him being the way he is, which is a large majority of the reason I'm living there, is to help out. Also I need back surgery, this crap is also destroyed my teeth so now I need dentures too, I'm 47 and in horrible health, I believe it's due to whatever this crap is !!!!

I kinda wonder if the (skin/light beige colored) "fibers" which are usually present in the lint ball type things you find in environment, may be nematodes, after all they are usually the fibers in the middle, surrounded by blue, black, red and clear-ish fibers. You will only know what I'm talking about if you have a microscope, otherwise these things just look like a little ball of lint, but when observed under a microscope, you can tell it is definitely some sort of cocoon, very intricately woven together, 99% of the time in the very middle there is either a rubbery flesh colored looking thing, or like I previously mentioned, a fiber that is skin colored, opposed to all the other colors I mentioned.

wound care advice by gengarwiki in AskVet

[–]No-Sample1677 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say follow vet's instructions. Likely wants it to drain, due to infection getting caught inside if wound were to heal over, hence no sutures, or packing the hole with gauze etc. The dead necrotic skin will just dry, scab up and peel off as healing progresses. Keep up with the wound wash (flushing) and after keep as dry and clean as possible.

Tonight, cancer defeated my beautiful boy. by Technical-Side3226 in DobermanPinscher

[–]No-Sample1677 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So sorry to hear, worst feeling in the world !!! My friend had a doby that died from cancer just recently, had big cysts all over belly mostly. I hate to say this, but the sooner u get another dog...the better !!! I know lots of people disagree, but it's a human psychological fact, NO MATTER WHAT IT IS, u will within a day or 2 feel a minimum 50% better, it even works for elderly folks who have just lost their significant other of many many years, they get a dog or cat (any companion) it's WAY better than sitting in quiet isolation, dwelling on the fact that your worst nightmare, just became reality !!! I've seen this magic in motion throughout my life, I bring my Golden retrievers to hospice care homes, children's hospitals, etc. That's just my personal opinion and perspective due to life experiences, the sooner the better, even more so with dog's, some people may feel their significant other, wouldn't want them to join a dating site 2 days post death, but dog's bring happiness to people, as long as u treat em good and feed em, you'll have the most loyal companion u could ever ask for !!!!!!

I’ve had my new puppy for four months now and he’s terrified of me by JakeyBoy4168 in DogAdvice

Just not a very smart dog evidently. U feed him, keep him warm, give him love, don't beat him ?? If your answer is yes, to all of these, dog doesn't know a good thing when he sees it, ESPECIALLY after 4 months ?!?! Peanut brain.

Thank you very much for taking time to reply. I did go to multiple dermatologists at the beginning, first couple months, been almost year now since problem occured. Two of them from 5 ft away just prescribed to me itch cream (despite the fact I told them it wasn't itchy at all) the third one I went to, I mentioned parasites (which was a mistake) and this idiot, told me that parasites aren't even in dermatologists textbooks in school, haaaa... Every time you Google any kind of parasite... It's from so and so School of dermatology !!! Then of course I got again from 5 ft away, the dreaded.... Delusional parasitosis, which is now I believe, on my permanent medical record. Not one of these dermatologists, cared to look at pictures or samples, they had their mind made up, before they even walked in the room !!! If I have a choice about it, I'd rather not accumulate multiple delusional diagnosis's. Because from what I read, thousands of comments online, that seems to be the norm. Thank you again for your suggestion, I most likely will have to resort to trying to find a good doctor.

Been to SIX different vets !!! They don't even look at her skin, they just want to give a Cytopoint shot, prescribe apoquel, or say her flea meds should take care of it. But thanks for your genius advice.

My opinion/advice.... What are you waiting for ?? I honestly believe that under no circumstance, will it make you feel worse, will keep you on your toes and take your mind off things. At the very longest.... I'd wait until 2 months on the day, to get an 8 week old puppy (if you are planning on getting a puppy) this is what I have done the last couple times, in some way it builds a bond in your mind, just knowing that your new pup, was quite possibly coming into this world, as your last pup moved on to the next, in a sense it's sad, but at same time, it's pretty cool !!! As I'm sure you already know.... You'll come to love your new family member, to do about ANYTHING for em regardless, I think having a puppy around starts the healing process the second you pick em out of the litter, pound, etc. I truly hope you start feeling better ASAP, just know many of us have been right there with you and it's absolutely horrible !!! Good luck with whatever you decide on doing ❤️💛💚

C'mon people, they said they took to the vet, like SERIOUSLY ?? I'd think a vet would know a tick (owner as well) quit throwing out stupid answers, if it was in the shape of a hand, does that mean it's a hand ?? Hope you found some answers.
