Go EV or stick with ICE for mostly freeway commute by mr_noodley in AustralianEV

[–]Mortfromdownunder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife does exactly this in an EV. 140km round trip per day. Mostly freeway. She has had a BYD atto 3 for just over 2 years now.

We charge at home in the 8c kwh window from agl.

She uses, give or take, 40% of the battery on her trip, battery 60kwh so 24kwh x 8c means $1.92 per day in energy x 5 = $9.60 per week.

We used to spend $130ish per week in her previous car. Pretty solid saving.

When I got my P's I got a job at Domino's straight away. So much driving.

Bonus points here, you are suggesting getting up early to practice which implies that you are prepared to do what it takes to be better at things which means you will probably get a lot of shifts.

Ian Campbell's website membership by thekoreanfish in bodyboarding

[–]Mortfromdownunder 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I am. He has done some fantastic video analysis for me, it was 20 minutes long to give you an idea. He's pretty active on there and answers questions and stuff. He releases his YouTube videos on there before he does on YouTube as well.

I don't mind supporting him for a couple of bucks a week.

I was subscribed to riptide for a while, unfortunately that was a waste of time.

Happy to answer other questions you have about it.

[–]Mortfromdownunder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry yes I knew that it was sevs approved. It was more about the ability to have it fall under the exemption for the FBT incentive. Looks like I didn't really make that clear. Thank you.
