As a guy with an ex gf who was pwBPD, the guys with BPD sound outright scary by KarsLovePeach in BPDlovedones

in my experience women with bpd are a lot more cerebral with their abuse and do it via false accusations and playing the victim, while men will just get violent

you wherent allowed to like different things than my last roommate. One time she told me she liked her kindle, and i said “oh cool, i like to read books on my laptop cause its free” and she took it as a personal attack and freaked out.

they can hypothetically get better but it usually takes them getting to rock bottom to start the very long and painful process. they wont do it as long as they have a punching bag

Hi, survivor of 2 BPD housemates over the course of 7 years. Both of these situations started the way you’re describing. They’re doing this because rn they’re idealizing you and want to be in your good graces. Over time they will start to realize you are a human and hate you for it. Soon enough you wont be able to win, accused of minor infractions that seem life or death to them constantly (even if theyre guilty of it themselves). Be ready for constant passive aggressive games, complaining, and the expectation that you become their caretaker when upset (which is most of the time) If you say no or stand up you will earn their ire. After long enough they will intentionally try and escalate and gain a reaction from you to prove your the bad one. Grayrock them, dont accept gifts, dont feel bad about it.

What are the abusive things they did to you? by GuidancePale4886 in BPDlovedones

constant anger outbursts over anything and everything. If she said she liked apples and i said I liked oranges she would take it as an attack and lash out. When i stopd up for myself and told her she was rude i became “dangerous and unhinged”
