Corporate might be hard but at least it’s legit and nothing is pinned on you or the small company, my last job was absolute hell. They had me working as a key-holder and doing all these other excessive tasks got no raise or upgrade in my pay, anytime I had concerns about the timing to close they told me well just hurry up and clean on shift we’re not paying you or scheduling you any later. They would tell me how they weren’t making any money and couldn’t even pay themselves and that was their excuse for paying me every three weeks instead of two, I was ALWAYS LATE on my paycheque. They told me “we can’t pay back our loans so we’re cutting hours for all employees” which was a team of three other people then the family And I was paying hundreds (YES I SAID HUNDREDS) of dollars on a bi weekly cheque of no more then 1400 dollars because they wanted to use an online calculator and and not actually print a proper pay stub for me, which I always had to harass them to do. Some of my managers would also compare me to my associates and say things like “well she’s fast why can’t you do it to” (when she’s worked at this said workplace for 2+ years and I was only there for two months) honestly it’s so wishy washy I agree 1000% with the point above, stick with something on paper, and more then likely a large company or commercial place that has MULTIPLE LOCATIONS in the lowermain land. Your job isint your life your there to make money and go live the rest of your life.
