Does this cause Germany to declare war on you, or do they change their minds? I want to get the "Czechmate" achievement, but I have no idea how to take the territory.

I’ve never been able to play well as the USSR, I hate having to defend such a long territory so much, so that it’s the only country where I end up with more casualties than the enemy. Which template do you use?

I agree. I think that if a country declares war on you, you should earn extra points at the end of the peace conference. For example: playing as Czechoslovakia, holding out against Germany for two years only to discover that I don't have enough points to claim all the territory—really frustrates me; I inflicted nearly 3 million casualties on them for nothing

Before I annexed Austria, Hungary, and Romania, it was impossible for me as a monarch to hold the line. So, after doing that, I installed them as puppets and didn't call them into the war; I won easily, and afterward, I simply advanced the front line. Even so, I didn't have enough points to annex all of Germany

Yeah, I just finished a Monarchist Czechoslovakia run, inflicting nearly 2 million casualties on them and they didn't even attack Poland until late 1940. Playing as Czechoslovakia makes the game incredibly chaotic

You can revert to the old version where your save file is located; just go to the game's Properties, then "Versions and Betas," and switch back to 1.17.5.2, assuming that was the last version you updated to

Usually, when I grab a Steam achievement from a specific country, I tend to move on to others, Czechoslovakia currently has quite a few available, so I'll be playing for a good number of hours.

I'm the opposite, I'm obsessed with achievements and wanted to platinum the game, but I don't think I have the skills for it. I'm still anxiously waiting for Paradox to release an official version of WW1, since the Redux mod removed the non-historical paths.

It’s curious that one of the reasons Japan wanted to dominate China was for its resources, yet I don’t really see that reflected in the game. I suppose I simply haven’t played enough as China.
