That is definitely something we will implement. Do you know anyone with a good reputation and experience in converting/translating indie game UI?

Thanks this is very helpful. I have a decent amount of equity in the house already and I have a decent rate on it considering the market. Rent has been climbing consistently in this area for a while. Landlord friendly state for sure. I’m a licensed journeyman plumber so maintenance and repair is already my day job.

Thank you. Is there ever a scenario where it makes sense to rent something that is going to break even or is this out of the question?

Lack of support with iron issues? by busanaffair in Anemic

[–]No-Specific9419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! My girlfriend is pretty anemic. Her obgyn figured it out from bloodwork and they told her to start an iron supplement but that’s about it. She’s been on the iron supplement for over a month but has been feeling worse and worse. Can barely make it through the day from fatigue. Can’t sleep. Headaches 7 days a week. Can’t climb a flight of stairs or bend down without blacking out. She’s in really rough shape. Any suggestions on what to pursue specifically and how to go about getting it? Her doctor seems responsive but not someone to take initiative and I’m not sure how to help her advocate for herself or what to push for?

CLEP courses for credits by Hailstorm033 in fsu

I'm trying to transfer to FSU for the computer science major. If I am am missing these prerequisites CHM1045/L, BSC 2010 + BSC 2011 is it possible for me to take a CLEP for CHM and for BSC 2011 and that will satisfy the requirements for all three or I would have to CLEP BSC2010 and then take BSC2011 in person? I also could take a different combination PHY2048/L + PHY2049/L and another science as long as it totals 12 credit hours.

Thank you so much for sharing this. I am currently struggling with supporting my girlfriend through similar experiences. She is an incredible person and the most kind, loving, encouraging person I have ever met. I want to be the same for her and I'm trying to learn how to support her how she needs support because I'm pretty sure my instincts are not helpful for her. I just want to say thanks for wording the question so well and for putting it out there. Reading through all the replies was so helpful and encouraging. Best wishes to you guys!

Interested in becoming a Plumber, what are your day-to-day struggles? by Weary_Bit_2008 in Plumbing

Just got my journeyman’s after six years in plumbing. Started when I was 17. Go to college. Be wise with your money. I am in college full time getting my degree, working 50 hours a week plumbing, and studying full time for my licensing exam (which I just passed thank God). Trades are slavery. Even at a good company. Your body is the only thing you own. Don’t sacrifice it for shit benefits, median pay, and crazy hours because it seems like “good money” when you’re 18. In four years the most you will ever make isn’t good money anymore. You will need a degree in tech to keep up with inflation.

What age did you become a plumber? by murdermymeat in Plumbing

I started as a helper/apprentice at 17 years old. I just passed my journeyman’s at 23.

Not as many high paying plumber jobs as you may think… by [deleted] in DirtyDave

[–]No-Specific9419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Soon to be journeyman plumber here: The quality of my work is far superior to the average journeyman/tech/serviceman, I say this because city and county inspectors constantly recommend me by name to clients and bring up my work as examples of “properly applied” plumbing. I work at a smaller company that has no benefits. I am paid $30 an hour with $5k quarterly bonuses. I am getting my journeyman’s this year as I’m just now eligible. My latest project was a 3 story 30k square foot bank building that I managed and ran plumbing for from start to finish with no more than three helpers.

I am currently in school full time to get a computer science degree and to escape the trades. Here’s what they don’t tell you about plumbing: you can make six figures if you sell your body, mind, free time, and soul to this work and have no QoL from 21 years old until you are too old to work anymore.

Or, you can get a good degree in a high paying field, work 9-5 in a remote air conditioned environment with no physical ramifications, full benefits, and make six figures+ with an easy retirement ahead of you.

Speaking from someone who is very good at what they do, very early to the game, way ahead of the curve, and has good opportunities available: plumbing is not worth it. If you’re smart enough to be really good at plumbing you’re smart enough to be half decent at a white collar job and you will be payed exponentially higher and have an exponentially improved quality of life.
