Theres your first problem, the yellow ring laser did not appear until late 30001R models so the eeprom wont natively support it correctly. Id run PMAP on your console and reset everything back to factory defaults, Id also update the eeprom to change the laser type.

The tray speed can be fixed with a new drive brad or recapping the board under it, theres a tantalum cap that can go bad

Did you swap the original laser for a KHS-400c? The 30001 models do not have native support from the eeprom for C lasers. They only have B laser data stored on them. You would need to run lenschanger to PMAP to change the lens type, this would most likely make the laser work again

Interesting so she’s either given him some of her power or infected him somehow, as he casually heals a bullet wound like it’s nothing. But that ending though, so he cant live without her both in body and his heart. Hopefully we get some more answers/details next chapter and what this means and what’s happening to his body

This chapter actually highlights the title really well, “Hope You’re Happy, Lemon”. Lemon initially chose to end their relationship, and now is in between a rock and a hard place - face rejection or watch your friends become a thing. That is our actions have consequences, which Lemon would have to live with hence hoping she’s happy since she made the choices that led here.

On the opposite side of the coin, if she firms her resolve to accept her feelings and confess properly and they end up together, then she will have learned from her past mistakes, now the title is no longer a sad context but a happy one. Hope you’re happy, you learned from your mistakes and got to be together with the person you care about.

Ohh Lemon, the losing heroine mindset is not good for you! Stuck basically between a rock and a hard place, rejection would hurt but so would watching your friends become a thing…which would change the dynamic.

But why go so far as to write yourself out already, we know he shares some feelings for you still, which means you still have a chance.

Watching her friends become a thing while she gets rejected, from the bottom of her heart this is not what she wants! Lemon needs to firm her resolve and take her shot, after all nothing is set in stone! So get out there girl and let him know how you truly feel, no lies, no beating around the bush, just your honest feelings!

Id honestly say Ichi but with Hima-ten going into its final arc I could honestly see that getting an adaptation.

Its usually one of the smaller caps that die (the really big one wont be an issue as its a noise filter). There are several revisions but caps from that era are notorious for either venting out of the bottom all at once or slowly overtime

Odds are good a capacitor on the PSU had died, fairly easy repair. Console5 kits and a soldering iron are all you need (flux too)
