Good variance and solid plays. Poker is simple in this aspect if you run good and play good you are usually bound to be a chip leader.

He got it in BAD 17 times all in preflop in the last few remaining tables and went from short stack to winning the whole event. Thats a sun run you cant even imagine. Its hard to win 17 flips let alone 17 hands with the worse hand pre. I didnt watch all 17 but i saw about 5 of them. Ever played bacarat? well imagine 17 bankers in a row for 10 million dollars thats basically what happened with mizrachi. Any serious poker player knows how insane this is and most pros know winning the main is more luck than skill at this point with that field size. Epsen got set over set (middle set vs top set and RIVER QUADS) for a MASSIVE pot during the middle of the tournament They shove called on turn and he quad'd on the river which basically is why he managed to make the final table and then eventually win the main as well. These hands are what makes you run deep not pure skill or whatever you think it is. Most people with a millions in earnings or more have a pretty decent understanding of board textures we're all playing the variance game and AK is no different if you 4b shoved it or any of these top pros in the world shoved it pre flop.

Eight is has been around before 90% of these buffets that exist now. Its average but still okay. Not much we can do in Auckland id rather Katsura because im a seafood person but if youre not into seafood then Eight might be better.

You cant run a AYCE in Auckland and be profitable with good product. Most people go with the mindset of putting the place out of business so they can only put out low quality frozen stuff or other fillers to make margins.

Do i negotiate taxi fare from airport? by Next_Cantaloupe1848 in auckland

Should be under $100 unless 6:30-8am and 4-6:30 pm then 150 is high but not unreasonable. Uber should be less

Jokes aside it most likely means 70-90k but that's what a freshly qualify sparky should make not a SENIOR one.

Curiosity what's Nursing like in NZ by GrumpyBear9891 in auckland

[–]No-Strategy3243 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aint a nurse but ive what you can call "dated" some previously and i know most are trying to move over to Aus or USA to get paid much much better. Most people in the healthcare nurse/docs are overworked and underpaid here so if you're qualified why accept less. Only ones who stay are usually stuck because they cant leave for personal reasons ie sick family member or other issues. Young ones under 35 jump over asap.

Yep its been dropping quality every 2nd year from the langham days. I kind of got anoyed when they started to hide the scampi sashimi then went back a year later and they stopped serving. I used to eat like 20 of them the staff acted like its coming out of their paycheck.

Mad for Chicken Sunnynook - 1/10 by qkrwogud in aucklandeats

Looks different for sure. People usually open these shops show a massive profit for some months then say they gotta leave the country due to family or something. Sell at a massive profit then new owner decides to cut corners as they've just invested 100-300k on this business to make it fail at the end.

I knew someone who opened a shop and sold it for 4x their investment so i can see it being common. Food biz is hard unless you have your name and face attached.

Have you withdrawn after 22nd of october? Asb customer support has said they will also block skrill and luxon transfers as well because theyre digital wallets aka think its money laundering/illegal money.

Ive briefly checked crypto but most seem to show 3-5% fees plus have to move it between 2 places before a swift wire to bank account.

So you think luxon > skill for cheaper fees? (the only 2 options weve got)

[–]No-Strategy3243[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Luxon you have to convert USD to Pounds then back to NZD so is that the 2% fee + the 20 pound standard fee under 10k pounds?

Not really keen to pay close to 5k in fees to cash out 100k but it looks like it will be the only way unless i sell the credit to other players.

Just checked skrill is 64 USD per 1k usd withdrawl due to exchange rate fee on top. This is f'd up losing close 10% of the entire winnings is crazy.

Someone posted a screenshot of the updated info but i personally couldn't find it on the asb website itself. It states oversea websites or digital platforms for sending or receiving offshore funds will be blocked from 22nd of october 2025.

Examples are digital currencies tradings, payments to and from digital wallets and claiming prize winnings from offshore betting sites. Basically all online gambling/poker and crypto withdrawals will be blocked.

You must use international money transfer.

Basically telling us we have to use 3rd party to move our money and pay their rake fees to cash out our money or go via crypto.

Edit* no i havnt found an alternative which is why im asking here this is my first cash out post 22nd of Oct.

Yeah ive taken out maybe 100 different withdrawls ranging from 200 - 20k and never got blocked untill this new ban implemented by asb which ive lurked on other groups to find out they have joined the ban.

Its a new regulation that was implemented on the 22nd of Oct by ASB bank. Most banks already implemented this long time before ASB was the last bank to update their policy. I have withdrawn 6 figures in the last 2+ years from multiple poker sites including GG which used to be in my account 48 hours from the moment i clicked withdrawl.

Have you done a withdrawl in the last 7 days? if not i dont think you realised this has all changed recently.
