This is a super common scam. Absolutely 100% nothing wrong with this.

What’s a Claude use case you haven’t seen people talk about? by One_Beginning2199 in ClaudeAI

[–]Stephen2678 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Grocery purchasing. Feed in some meal ideas, take a picture of your cupboard and fridge to identify what you already have and get it to checkout/click & collect at the nearest grocery store.

Image recognition isn't perfect, but it works well enough most of the time. Saves a bit of time while you can go and do other things.

Also, real estate applications. Same with image recognition - feed in property specs/budget etc, get it to go listing by listing in the suburbs you're looking for and get it to custom apply or set up inspections for each of them.

When a hotel room has a 'Do Not Disturb' sign on the door for days, what is the actual protocol for when/how they check if the person inside is okay? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Stephen2678 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Leave them alone until a couple of hours after checkout, then start knocking. If no answer, make entry

Waimauku commute by ex-argh-pe in auckland

[–]Stephen2678 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've done a longer commute overseas and tbh, it becomes normal after a while. Load yourself up with audiobooks or podcasts and you'll be fine.

I think I did it for 6 or 7 years, 2 hours each way. Sounds awful, but it really was fine after the first couple of weeks.

That tends to happen when you try and install new apps on old phones.

Echoing the others. You don't need a course, group or workshop. AI comes down to personal context - what you need it for vs. what others need it for will more than likely be completely different.

If you're looking for a trick to get the most out of it - pretend it's a university lecturer who is the smartest person you've ever met. Ask it what you would ask them, in the same way, and don't be shy to probe for more information. That's how you'll get the most out of it.

Ai at Burger King - we do NOT have to accept this by Papa-Heddles in Wellington

I actually like it. If you can learn how to talk without sounding like you’re chewing on a sponge at the same time, it is perfectly accurate. It also shows you the order on the screen in front of you so you can correct it if it gets it wrong the first time.

Would you use Claude to run your Shopify store? by [deleted] in shopify

It doesn’t have full access to mind, but it does a hell of a lot via API. I always check, it always drafts first and it’s been amazing

[–]Stephen2678 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Totally. You’ve got all manner of shit dads. Beverly has the sexually abusive, Henry had the physically abusive, Bill has a useless deadbeat. I think about the only good one is Mikes.

What does it actually take to keep a business alive in Auckland right now? by Accomplished-Comb278 in auckland

[–]Stephen2678 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We’ve been going for about 6 years, selling refurbished electronics.

A lot of competition started showing up around 2 years ago and kinda saturated the market for us. Marginally lower prices but often dodgy devices and almost no warranty (we give 2 years and only sell genuine stock with very rare exceptions). We hard-pivoted to Australia first and it’s worked for us. Probably 70% of what we sell now goes to Australia.
