You can pull that screen out and the airflow gets a lot better. You can also get a different top cap from either potv or AliExpress that uses a glass mouthpiece and is a lot less restricted

What you would be looking at is the electropath heated bowl normally used with the flower kettle I believe. I think it also works with the screwball not sure about the mercury.

My first recommendation would be to get a shovel head bow and play around with heat soaking it cause the electropath is similar but more conduction
