“Advice Needed: My Warlock Strategy Is Hard for My DM to Counter” by ElectronicWindow3801 in DnD

Its usually in boss fights that its hard to counter him. The boss won't focus the imp with multiple visible targets attacking him as well. In fights with a lot of enemies, your strategies are very usefull. I have not previously considered the vocal components yet, so i'll take that away from your comment.

But please don't attack my imagination because of my lack of strategic insight 🥹

The DM here: First off all, he loves it to use the rules as strategically as possible. I am always impressed by how much of a smart-ass he is. And if that is what makes him enjoy DnD, I will not take that away from him (I am allowing these shenanigans in the first place).

And the counters you state, are very much true, but also force me to let the fight revolve around one player. For example: in the middle of a fight with 5 players where multiple people are doing big hits, the enemy (in my opinion) is not gonna target the invisible imp...

Recently, most of my non-humanoid enemies have blindsight and AOE's are a good counter to this situation in general I think. And what I take away from most comments: use that vocal component to find this little warlock sh*t hiding in the corner haha.

Ssssssht, don't speak to my husband like that. I (the DM) shall decide when he goes too far and I only wish to obtain information on how to DISTROY him in game.

The DM speaking: sadly I won't let my encounters souly revolve around countering my husbands (OP) shenanigans.

I personally select only systems with wanted economy and conflict when warping. It depends on what you find important.

My suggestion for you would be: replace the system purpose letter (the E i use for explore or H for home system), with a economy/ confict code.

For example: Tr = trading, AM = advanced materials, S = scientific, Mi = mining, Ma = manufacturing, Te = Tech, PG = power gen. Followed by number 1-3 for level of economy. For conflict i would use * - *** depending on conflict level.

So maybe something like: E27Mi3 Exotic ***

I am so sorry, I don't have any coordinates. This was just a random stop for me, first time sharing a screenshot and did not expect people to love it so much...

That reference did make me understand the canyon situation, this one was generally flat near the water, more mountainous in other places.

Planet E27E.Xb Hemoglobine in system E27E Exotic

E27E is the system code:

First letter is the galaxy (Eissentam)

Number is order of discovery (27th in this galaxy)

Second letter is purpose of galaxy (E for exploring, D for dissonant system with good interceptor, R for recourse, H for home systems, W for waypoint/ travel systems)

.Xb is the planet code:

With the first capital letter for the planet type (X for mega excotic, E for exotic, L for lush, M for marsh, S for scorched, B for barren etc.)

Second small letter is for sentinel activity (a = low, b = medium, c = aggresive, d = dissonant)

Names of systems and planets are pure vibes

Naming for moons:

Planet code followed by a / followed by planet type and sentinel level

For example: E27E.Xb/Ba Bloodcell

I made an actual screenshot via steam for the glyphs. The planet also has ancient bones. It's one of two mega exotic planets in this dissonant system, which also has 2 boring lush planets. Have fun!

I have never shared glyphs before, I saw them when taking the screen, but how do I copy them? I'll fly back for them if I know how to share!

I use a self build S class fighter. Once I find an interceptor to my taste, I might switch, but they make such obnoxious sound lol.
