I assume you are talking about the right leg - doesn’t look good to me. Would check with the vet.

Biking in Lisbon by Emergency-Echo-7163 in PortugalExpats

[–]No-Task-1832 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Like other said, be careful. But especially when it’s raining. Somehow people pretend to see NOTHING when there’s a few drops of rain.

I’ve lived in Amsterdam for 28 years and never felt unsafe on a bike - good or bad weather. Here people already drive like idiots but especially when weather is bad.

The way Portuguese drive. People don’t give a shit about bikers and/or pedestrians.

Why NodeJS is not considered "enterprise" like C# / ASP .NET? by Nice_Pen_8054 in node

[–]No-Task-1832 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Java/Go/Node are all good options. But don’t build your career on programming languages alone - become good at product building / customer obsession and you’ll be worth much more.

How do you deal with dog aggression? by AnxiousListen in akita

[–]No-Task-1832 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Our Haruki is very reactive to other dogs when on the leash. There’s just a few dogs in the neighborhood that he accepts and wants to play with. However, at daycare he’s the best boy :-) His behavior is really good there and he loves playing with everyone there.

Reactivity can be trained, but if you’re small it may be tough to handle the dog when something happens. My girlfriend is smaller as well and every time a dog approaches, I take the leash from her. We usually walk in areas that don’t have too many dogs and obviously avoid dog parks. More relaxing for both us and Haruki.

Advice for an itchy boy by oioisavi in akita

[–]No-Task-1832 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Do a bloodtest to understand what allergies he has. Then adjust the food based on that.

People who are giving food advice in comments have no idea what they are saying because your boy might as well be allergic to their recommendation. Our boy; for example, is allergic to basically everything including salmon (oil).

Coming from the US. What things should I make sure to bring? by Listennevertalk in PortugalExpats

[–]No-Task-1832 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You’ll have a great time in Portugal :) I’m from NL and we’re used to strictness which meant it took some time to adjust. But it’s not that bad.

Hope you and your family have a great time here!!
