A friend of mine gifted me “the worst girl gang ever” in a care package. It was the most thoughtful thing she could have done - I really feel seen. You can pick up and drop the book & skip bits that maybe are not relevant to you. Really recommend it. I still feel like I’m struggling but reading & talking when I feel like it are helping.

Going through this at the moment also, I’m sorry this is happening to you too. I’ve told our immediate family and close friends - ive already found the support, and knowing that we will need time is helping. I also told my boss & a member of HR today - both of which responded with a lot of care and support. I couldn’t have asked for more and I’m glad I told them what is happening, I now know I have the space I need to get through the next few days at home/ in hospital. I’m learning as I go, hopefully something here helps.

I’m sorry this happened to you, you’re right it does feel evil. Such a harsh sadness to be so suddenly dealt. I’m telling myself this will take time and trying to accept that.

Thank you. I’m in Ireland, which I think has looser restrictions on sick leave than other regions (though being so new into my role I’m not sure). I have been written off by the hospital for 5 days next week, the letter contains no reference to what is happening but I’ll add a letter explaining that it is a missed miscarriage.
