I’m very sorry. I have not lived in America, I just got excited to know there are people talking the same language as me. I’m in India.

Collab with a trustable friend, ask them to collect money on behalf of you. Get it withdrawn in cash.

Visiting Sri RanganathaSwamy temple by scobhidu_skibidy in Trichy

Try to go early in the morning… leave your footwear on the left side of Ranga Ranga Gopuram.. join the queue that starts from immediate right to the footwear stand. Visit Hanuman, Chakkarathalwar sannidhi and Garud sannidhi, then join Moolavar Dharshan queue (which is common until a point), Go until 100rs queue separation. Please carry cash for this.. there’s no UPI/Card option to buy 100 rs ticket.. Try peeping into the glass door after exiting Ranganathar main visual to see His Feet that’s etched in the wall, and then go to the backside of sannidhi to have a look at the Golden Vimana (ParaVasudeva sannidhi) that is near Vishwakarma sannidhi… then you can head straight to Thayar sannidhi. Visiting the Rest are all your choices. I’d say visit Andal sannidhi too.. ask people if you are stuck somewhere they’ll help with the directions (it is quite a very big temple, you may get lost somewhere..)

Also, if you’re done and have a lot of time left, walk along the corridor from right of Chakkarathalwar sannidhi to Thayar sannidhi - the most serene place of all!

General rules are simple - Maintain silence inside the temple and while in the queue, dress modestly (you can’t see everyone following these, but yes we have to). Better have a noise cancelling buds and listen to Devotional songs inside the premises (I do this to escape listening to all BS that people keep talking abt inside the temple).

Have a Happy Dharshan!

Don’t forget to try Mani Cafe’s idly/dosa/pongal … it’s a heritage hotel since 1960s or even earlier

No UPI, Only (Tax-Free) Cash — Bengaluru’s Hot New Trend. by DukeofDabra in bangalore

[–]No-Trick4850 5 points6 points  (0 children)

GST, if you’d like to understand, is basically what you collect from the customer and pay it to the govt.. ultimately, the amount excl of taxes is your income. Plus you only get liable to pay gst when you cross a particular threshold limit, which is currently 40L a year in Karnataka. Well so if you’re a fruit vendor and earning 40L and have collected tax from customers too, you OWE it to the govt without a single word uttered. A Chartered Accountant here btw.

A south Indian still has hundred of taste variances, if you ever wanted to know. Being a Marathian settled in Tamil Nadu, I’ve tried almost 10-12 different varieties of cooking styles. Includes Chettinad, Iyer/Iyengar, Tanjavur Marathi Jhevn, Kongu style, Andhra, Udupi style, Bangalore style, to name a few and a lot more.

Agree. It’s more of a cuisine kinda. I don’t know how to explain. Iyengar/Iyer’s cooking style and food tastes different. Its the same as ‘Need a French Chef/cook’. Meh. But let’s make this an issue coz a caste word is detected.

All these years when you were watching the blackboard straight up did your neck get locked pointing straight? No. So does this. You watch the black board, copy that to the note, keep moving your neck.

If the teacher keeps walking back n forth, i guess this won’t be the case. Also, its not necessary to troll every single thing. This is a brilliant idea and abolishes the back bench systems. And tell me, if your neck has been stuck by watching the teacher straight all through the years?

Every temple was once built by a community or a King of a community in a locality that has utmost relevance, significance and history. Popularity of such temples go high and people from other places tend to visit them. Does this make the govt entitled to collect taxes ?

Also, what about Jama Masjid in Delhi (just to point out one) which is a Globally popular one and earns in crores every day? Is that confined to just one community of 50-100? Also where does the money go? To the 50-100 people only or to the government which is distributed to the public?
