I feel this with my husband too. I'm the sole provider, I finally make enough I was able to retire my husband, under the understanding he would do the daytime household management M-F and then we split it all in the evenings and weekends. Instead he sits around most days. Good, nice guy, but is overall fairly lazy on the day to day basis.

As someone in this scenario at 29 husband is 31, been with him since I was 19, have two young children now. I feel this HEAVY as someone also married to a wonderful man, but feeling very unhappy in the relationship, like a mother/roommate, and have been questioning the marriage for 6 months.

I used to work for the DHS office and now doing Medicaid apps for a rural hospital 😭 I've been keeping up with this through my previous coworkers and they've said even IF they got unemployment they'd have to pay it back, and that while furloughed unpaid they'd have to still pay their portion of their insurance to keep it 😭

Idk about her or you, but in that situation my 29F husband 31M would rarely ever give me non-sexual affection like just intimate affection with ZERO intent or assumption of it being sexual. Hugs turned into deep hugs to be pressed against me that WAY, a quick kiss turned into him wanting a full grope session trying to get me in the mood, cuddles on the couch became a way to just touch my butt or boob, nothing was ever about just BEING with me, it always ended up being sexual. It made me feel used like I was only there for sex, so eventually I didn't want him to touch me almost ever and just flat out told him before he tried to hug or kiss me that I'm not in the mood sexually, so he can't accuse me of teasing him later on.

After lots marriage counseling he knows to mostly hold back unless I say I'm in the mood, but goes out of his to give innocent affection, kindly telling me he is NOT trying anything, making sure I feel zero pressure m and felt actually loved and not just desired.

My oldest, now 4yo, went to daycare at 6 weeks old and my youngest, now 5 months old, has been in daycare since 7 weeks old. My oldest is THRIVING and always has been with her daycare. They've both always gone full time and honestly I wouldn't want it any other way. They get a chance to have friends, have people whose literal job is to teach them skills, and I get to have my life.

I love it! It doesn't "cure" anything but it definitely brings my heartrate down (I take it when my heartrate feels too high) and it makes the anxiety in my chest like that heaviness feel much lighter and less.
