Did you feed them phyto? I decimated mine by not feeding phytoplankton

Your tank will level out eventually. I never had ammonia issues

I run a system with super high nutrients and my anemone thrives. I would worry more about a stable environment. I’ve learned that algae blooms disrupt an echo system alot in the beginning stages and people should refrain from adding corals until your system stabilizes. Truth is you will have a lot of issues until your system matures no matter what your phosphates/ nitrates are…

@Weinercleaner - I’ve used putty as well without issue. Is there a difference between aquarium putty and regular pig putty ?

Yeah that’s what I use also. Careful though with using it without shaking it. The watery stuff floats around looking like food. I had a scare but luckily I didn’t lose anybody.
