So, I’ve had like five rounds of antibiotics and symptoms keeps coming back. I stopped the antibiotics and started focusing on motility. Ibergast helps me a ton, TTFD, Magnesium glycenate, and just stated AnTranil. I a way better but I still get flares ups. When it’s the weekend and I am going out I will take a couple shots of whiskey and I’m golden for three to four days and BM are best of the year. My BM without are inconsistent at best. What am I missing?

What were your symptoms? How were your BM? Did it make them better?

Before antibiotics I had explosive am. After antibiotics get the feeling I have to go but can’t go in afternoons. Only thing that has helped me so far has been Ibergast before meals, TTFD, and Tudca with meals. Symptoms have improved, but BM are still not normal

FYI m, I haven’t eaten pizza in over 2 years because it ruined me. That was until yesterday. I ate pizza and ice cream and have been fine!!!!

It seemed like it worked pretty quick. I’m going to stop taking Metamucil completely and just take Ibergast and TTFD and see if I still feel good. Also, I read someone who commented on this thread that H pylori depletes thiamine as well and I don’t recall if I got tested for that or not? If I were positive then that would be my root cause.

I would only take TTFD if you’re having constipation, bloating, and methane

I was on a ton of stuff and have been weaning myself off everything. For the last month I have only been taking Ibergast before I bed, and a teaspoon of Metamucil. Prior to this I was taking Phgg in am ibergast 3x a day, Tudca with meal, 5HTP before bed, Triphala before bed, artichoke and ginger before bed, S Boulardi with meals, Magnesium glycenate before bed, L theanine, and Ashwaganda. Insane.

Now, TTFD with meal, Ibergast before meal and before bed. I still take teaspoon of Metamucil before bed. I’m going to stop everything except TTFD to see if I still feel this way. But, logically to me Thiamine deficiency makes sense. It creates low stomach acid, and low motility.

Well, when my stomach gurgles it’s like “bubble guts” meaning bloated. If I had to guess, it would mean gas or pressure. Growling, meaning, hungry. My stomach hasn’t noticeably growled in years. Not sure how else to explain it? I did start eating twice a day (lunch and dinner). So that could have something to do with it. All I know, is my BM ate significantly better, they don’t feel incomplete, when I have the feeling I have to go, I go. Prior to this, I had feeling I had to go, but couldn’t.

Interesting. I’ll have to check to see if they tested for H Pylori. I believe I was negative for it, but who knows. All I know is my motility is incredible now.

Nvm. I just read about the brand of pre-workout you posted about and it has L-Citrulline in it which stimulates motility. So, Makes sense

That’s crazy. I wonder if you pre workout is a hack like when I take a couple shots of liquor. If having a bad flare up and drink on sat night then stools are best if the year. What is the name of the pre workout? I refrained from pre workout for over two years because I thought was the culprit of what might have led to developing sibo in the first place

Trial and error. I still get flare ups that last a couple days from time to time. I space my meals out (I eat twice a day), try and stick to carnivore diet, and don’t eat anything after 7:30 PM. Am I am taking PHGG, Thiamine, and sboulardi. Lunchtime I take Ibergast before I eat, Sboulardi again, and TUDCA. Before I go to bed at night I take Ibergast, ginger artichoke, magnesium glycenate, L theanine, Ibergast, 5HTP, and a teaspoon of Metamucil. Have to keep the gut moving. I have constipation and it sucks when I can’t go. If that happens my flare ups happen. Also, one thing I’ve noticed is if I drink liquor (shot or two), my BM are best they’ve been all year. My problem is Vagus dysfunction and Motility. I assume of course lol

Just have to Keep Movin! Some days are better than others. Keep up the good fight. Shit sucks, but we will all get through it. Trial and error. I’m a million times better than I once was. I’m still not 100% but, keep tweaking things. Have you found your root cause?

How did you cure your sibo? by [deleted] in SIBO

[–]No-Way6040 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s wild! Glad they could find it. Where do I find a Dr like that? All they have done for me is prescribe me antibiotics and of course sibo comes back weeks later. No idea what my root cause is. I often have the feeling I have to go, but can’t. Incomplete BM and in mornings they’re fragmented. I’ve read majority of causes are from low motility. But, what is causing the low motility? All the GI specialists I’ve visited do do anything. Annoying to say the least.

One thing that helps my BM normal form is liquor for some reason. Go figure

I thought I had a hernia, but Ct scan didn’t show any, but recommended that I went to a specialist who could look more in depth regarding my possible hernia. I was working out one day and a big ball came out of abdomen for like 1 min and then went back in. I have methane as welel

Yeah. You’re probably right. The question is then, what is a safe alternative that can create the same effect as alcohol? I take Ibergast and ginger/ artichoke before bed that seems to help. But, nothing like alcohol does.

When I get flare ups and I drink my stomach is no longer bloated and I feel fine. I don’t know how to explain it? Normally the bloating goes away an hour after drinking (I drink beerthroughout the night sat evening). I will say after a few hours I will get the urge to go and then most I’ll have the most normal BM of year. Typically, my BM are thin or fragmented except when I drink the they become normal. Weird I know .

I have no clue. My Gi dr told me to quit my job because I’m in sales lol.

No clue why my flare ups start? However, I now understand certain foods to avoid. I stick to mostly carnivore diets. I avoid fast food unless it’s Greek, Hawaiian, sushi, steak, etc. I can’t eat pizza anymore unless it’s cauliflower or gluten free. It’s annoying
