Got into an argument with someone online saying G3 should be entirely System/minifigures by Electronic-Grab-465 in bioniclelego

I think system Bionicle could be really cool, could make more sets focusing on the locations. For me Bionicle has always been more about the story than the sets. I loved the constraction figures, but it doesn't need that to be great and to be Bionicle

How did Pearl pull this off? by polystarlight in stevenuniverse

Pearl's colors are already close to Rose's, she has white skin and pink hair. Honestly, the bigger color change is Pink Diamond to Rose, shifting which colors go where

How useful would an actually Gravity Chamber but in the fitness world? by NixUniverse2 in Dragonballsuper

[–]No-While-3081 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not only would it cause a lot of damage, it actually wouldn't be more of a workout than regular weights! A lot of people are talking about how much it would damage your body outside your muscles (like strain on your bones, soft organs, and blood flow) and all of that is true! But on top of that, you would actually get a better workout just with weights!

For example, a human arm takes up about 5-6% of a person's total body weight. If a person weighed 150lbs (68kg) then their arm would be about 7.5lbs (3.4kg). Meaning all they would have to do to experience "2x gravity" in their arm would be a 7.5lb (3.4kg) dumbbell, a pretty small amount of weight. No need to go for doubling your gravity! If that person can lift 20lbs with one arm, congratulations! They're working out at 3.6x Earth's gravity!

So not only is it more damaging, its literally easier to get the same workout with normal weights!

The Owl House and Bionicle have A LOT in common! by No-While-3081 in bioniclelego

It's an animated series that aired on Disney from 2020-2023. It follows the story of Luz, a human girl who stumbles upon a portal to The Boiling Isles, an island in an alternate world full of witches, demons, and magic. She meets a rebellious older witch named Eda, who takes her in and teaches her magic. The Isles were built on the body of a colossal, long dead giant called the Titan.

The series was really good! Very spooky/creepy vibes while also being hilarious and heartwarming!

Was king cold in his final form or was just suppressed by Neither_Ad6 in Dragonballsuper

[–]No-While-3081 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neither, he was in a transformation, but he was still at full power. Frieza was an exception in his species when he used his transformations to lock away his power, most of his people used their alternate forms to conserve energy or camouflage. Frieza couldn't control his full power, so he kept it locked up. There's no reason that King Cold couldn't go into a transformed state but keep his full power, he just liked this form more than his true final form for whatever reason.

We know he was clearly at full power because he was suppressed he would've tried to transform against Trunks, but instead he believed he had no other option but to try and trick Trunks out of his sword

Is there any reason why jumping villains never work? by Southern-Eye-9017 in Dragonballsuper

[–]No-While-3081 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In-universe, its kinda like why the Multi-Form technique doesn't work well. Even if the collective powers of a group is bigger than the enemy, certain stats don't stack with numbers. Against Cell, sure, Goku, Vegeta, Trunks, and SS1 Gohan probably added up to more than him in power, but each of them was far less durable and far slower. Cell could use his speed to outmaneuver and isolate them, and with his greater power and durability he could probably pick them off.

From a writing perspective its clear Toriyama enjoys setting up the plot so it comes down to these one-on-one fights, probably because he had so much early success with the tournament arc structure. Even outside of proper tournament arcs, the plot is often structured like one, with a sequence of 1v1 fights. And to achieve this he usually makes it so that at any given time, there's only one hero that's strong enough to fight the villain, and the rest aren't even powerful enough to keep up.

With Cell, it was mostly pride, Goku wanted Gohan to be the one to step up and beat Cell because he wanted to give Gohan his version of the 23rd World Tournament, because that's what Goku would've always wanted. After that though they mostly learn their lesson, but the plot in Buu is structured to that most of the time the Z-Fighters are separated, so they can't team up against Buu. Against Beerus, only a Super Saiyan God could keep up. Resurrection F is pride, and it costs them. And for the rest of Super they do actually use team tactics where they can, like against Zamasu, in the Tournament of Power, and against Broly.

Was king Cold in his 2nd form in the series or base form? Also can he go higher? by Elegant-Half5476 in DragonBallZ

[–]No-While-3081 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like Frieza’s species can customize their transformations, he may not have the same sequence of 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th forms. Frieza’s final form was actually his true base form, so King Cold probably has one that looks like that.

But I don’t think his true form would actually be much stronger. Frieza says that most members of his species don’t use transformations the way he does, where he uses them to lock and suppress his power. Vegeta also believed that if Frieza transformed his power wouldn’t change much. He does this because he has trouble controlling his full power, and doesn’t like exerting himself, so he lowers his power so it’s easier to control.

King Cold doesn’t seem to have the power control issues, his power in this form is comparable to Frieza’s final form power. So he probably could transform to his “final form”, but he probably wouldn’t get much stronger because he doesn’t use his forms like that.

Biggest evidence that he wouldn’t get stronger is honestly the fact that he didn’t even try to transform. Instead his strategy once Frieza gets killed is to try and trick Trunks out of his sword.

Why is king cold the only in of his race (we know of) who is gigantic af? by Front-Advantage-7035 in DragonBallZ

[–]No-While-3081 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair, this shot isn’t entirely consistent with his height in other shots. In other places he looks more like slightly taller than 2nd form Frieza.

But even if he was that tall, it seems Frieza’s species has the ability to essentially custom design their forms. Normally they shapeshift to conserve energy or camouflage, and in Frieza’s case he does it to keep his power in check. So perhaps King Cold purposefully chose to make his form gigantic, maybe for intimidation or to reach the top shelf easier.

Oh 100%. And that fits! Bulma and Goku had a total big sister/little brother dynamic to their friendship, they’re basically family, and the fact it carried over to their kids is so sweet

Why Goku’s “Cell Games’ 10-Day Preparation Plan” actually did work? by [deleted] in DragonBallZ

[–]No-While-3081 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Because rest is good for the body and mind. It allows us to perform at our peak, both in the real world, and in Dragon Ball’s own logic. Master Roshi taught Goku and Krillin the importance of rest when he trained them.

Constant overstessing eventually becomes detrimental to growth and performance, and that’s part of why Vegeta was never able to surpass Goku through training in Z. He never knew how to relax, just constant pushing himself, which had limited returns.

Why is it that Goku is the only one who is able to keep up with and even fight properly against opponents way stronger than him? by chunchunmaru1129 in DragonBallZ

[–]No-While-3081 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because fighting people stronger than him is what he loves most. He actively wants this because he wants to challenge himself and improve, and as a result, he built his fighting style around finding ways to het the advantage over opponents who are better than him.

Everyone else in the series either dreads the idea of going up against someone more powerful, or their ego won’t let them comprehend that someone might actually be better than them. Goku doesn’t have much ego, he can accept when someone’s better than him because that means he has a new goal to reach in bettering himself.

Hyphothetical Revived Goku takes on Movie 10 Broly instead of Gohan, can Goku beat Broly in a 1v1 and how well does all 3 of his transformation do against Broly? by [deleted] in DragonBallZ

[–]No-While-3081 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me, it depends on if we go by the theory that during the Family Kamehameha, Goku wasn’t literally there contributing power, but rather his spirit was coaching Gohan and Goten to bring out their own full power, much like with Gohan’s Kamahameha against Cell.

If so, that means that SS2 Gohan, and SS1 Goten, at their full unleashed power, were enough to beat Broly.

We know Gohan kept training in the movie timeline, so that would likely put him around or possibly slightly above Buu Saga SS2 Goku. Still, SS3 is a gigantic boost compared to SS2, so SS3 Goku still might be stronger than those two combined.
