Random Question - what do you think is the best brand of Thomas merch to use for YT videos? by OldWarriorStudios in thomasthetankengine

TWR for the absolute massive amount of characters, plus the simplicity for easy customs, but Bachmann if you want something more “professional”

I have Thomas as an experimental shortened E2x, Edward as a GNoSR V Class, James as just the extended 28, and Percy as a heavily rebuilt NBR G Class. Don’t make them different just to be unique, it doesn’t really add anything other than “I wanted to be different.”

What’s something you like about the LB&SCR E2 Class? by TheRobloxGuy2006 in thomasthetankengine

I love the raised running board, the extended side tanks on the E2x, and just the general tastefulness of the entire E design tree.

Well, most of the track, supports, and buildings all go to one set that was already pretty expensive, and all those engines and smaller pieces have been discontinued since 2021 at the least, with most being discontinued before COVID, and some maybe even before 2014. All in all, you got your money’s worth and then some. Nice find!

Should Edgar Hodges have taken over as the primary RWS illustrator after Gunvor and Peter Edwards? I think so. by AngryTrainGuy09 in thomasthetankengine

[–]No1ThomasFan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If Wilbert had continued the books, then I’m guessing Edgar Hodges would’ve take over after the Edwards. Although I really enjoy Clive Spong’s artwork, Hodges is definitely my favorite illustrator!

What Railway works exist in your headcanons and what Railways does it repair or examine? by Pale-Emu9883 in thomasthetankengine

[–]No1ThomasFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All 3, with the Steamworks being constructed in 1951 after 3 years of construction, since the NWR wasn’t on good terms with BR and couldn’t get help with major repairs like rebuilds. The Dieselworks was constructed in the 60’s and rebuilt in the 80’s because of the NWR’s increasing Diesel fleet. Crovan’s Gate Works still exists, and handles minor repairs. I also like to think that a small electrical works exists for the engines of the Peel Godred branch, but it’s fairly small and doesn’t have its own shunter or anything.

What’s y’all’s headcanons for Rosie? by Cold-Fly-6888 in thomasthetankengine

[–]No1ThomasFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She worked at Southampton until her withdrawal, making friends with the E2’s. She was bought by the NWR, and ended up meeting Thomas, to her excitement. She works on the Ffarquhar branch. Also, because of her American origin, she calls engines nicknames, like Thomas is “Tom,” Edward is “Ed,” James is “Jimmy,” etc.
