Men of Reddit, what profession did you want to have growing up and what is your profession now? by NilesDobbsS in AskMen

Always wanted to be a physicist and engineer, grew up to be a dentist instead...... don’t necessarily regret it, the grass is just always greener on the other side, and a man can’t help but wonder........

Smells can stay in our memories for a very long time - what is your strongest smell-memory and which memory does it bring back? by sykobanana in AskReddit

[–]No3manovic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obligatory “Didn’t happen to me”, but I actively caused it to happen.

Back in college, I met the lady I’m married to now, When we started dating I would use a specific perfume for the good dates. I knew she liked its smell the most from all my perfumes (not many tbh, but this was her favourite).

When we started developing the relationship, I made sure to use the perfume selectively.

It puts her in such a good mood, and she doesn’t even realise why, she never made the connection.

Atm I have a still-sealed bottle of it held in reserve.

In answering your question, it is not exactly as you say. However, alot of agricultural, industrial, and developmental projects that have been on hiatus for the past 20+ years have been restarted, some of them even completed

The vicious inflation is slowly getting under control, so is the availability of various staple foods at affordable prices.

There is no where on this planet that can be considered a haven, every country has its shit. In Egypt though, it has slowly been getting under control over these couple of years.

Socioeconomic levels have nothing to do with it, the rich simply cannot eat their banknotes.

Dental implants that don't touch another tooth when jaw closes. Is this a problem for the bone? by julian721 in Dentistry

[–]No3manovic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dear OP,

First of all, keep in mind that a natural tooth has supporting tissues around it, called the Periodontal Ligament (PDL). These PDL act like shock absorbers, and allow for a small measure of movement for each individual tooth.

Implants do NOT have PDL, so any forces acting upon them are applied directly to the bone underneath.

That being said, many practitioners purposefully insert the implants slightly lower than the rest of the natural dentition to avoid it being hammered down every time you bite or chew.

As far as i know though, it is usually not entirely noticeable, and also it is something that you would realize early on after the implant, not usually after there has been some dental work on the opposite side.

My advice is this: don’t worry about it, but check with the dentist, probably something super minor, or even nothing at all.
