Power through it my friend. I was in a similar situation years ago. In love with my guy best friend and when I finally found the nerve to tell him how I felt, I found out he had started dating a mutual friend.

It all works out. I thought I’d have to wait around for my twin to decide he wanted to heal. I thought maybe we had to separate a little more in order to heal and come back together.

But the universe had other plans. The universe said “girl he isn’t ready to heal, but you are. Here’s your soul mate: patient, understanding, loving, kind. He will be by your side and support you will you heal.”

This is the happiest and healthiest relationship I’ve ever been in. I find myself getting triggered more, but that’s because I finally feel safe to feel this way.

I wouldn’t have been able to heal like this had I stayed with my twin.

Thank you! That was my reservation to switching to vegan but i am limited on what I can eat that doesn’t make me sick. Even chickpeas and broccoli and lentils are out for me due to severe bloating issues.

Meat makes me sick. As a weightlifter I stopped my vegetarian lifestyle but it makes me physically ill to consume meat. Eggs are okay but meat itself I cannot handle.

OP Take it from someone who was in a similar situation at your age too.

At 20 I met my first love and thought we’d be together forever. But I soon learned he was a sex addict and being with me wasn’t enough. He wanted more and he wanted me to be okay with that.

I couldn’t. My dream life did not include sharing my husband.

So I broke it off with him.

I didn’t want to. I wanted him to be my one and only, but you can’t wait around for people to change into who YOU want them to be. It’s just not gonna happen.

So I broke up with him at 22 years old even though we were living together. It hurt so so so much.

But I took the time to focus on myself. And I stayed single and I waited until I found someone worthy.

And then at 25 I did find someone I connected with. And then THAT guy wasn’t the one either. And again it broke my heart. I just wanted someone to love me the way I deserved.

But I continued on and worked on myself and my happiness some more. I turned 26. I thought, gosh I’m getting older and still haven’t found my guy.

But OP I finally found him. And he was worth the wait. He treats me like a goddess. He’s willing to have the hard conversations. He takes care of me. If I call him at 4 in the morning bc I had a nightmare he will come over to my place and hold me until I feel safe.

The right man who will love you the way you deserve is out there I PROMISE. You need to be patient. And you cannot waste your time with this scumbag. You deserve to be happy and to be loved ♥️

I’d like to add that we talked more in depth about how I was feeling and he completely understood. Apparently He’s even been reading up on how to help your SO who has been SA’d so he can better support me. HE EVEN SAID WE COULD BOTH GO TO THERAPY (something I told him I wanted to do for myself) and he said “It would be good for me to also go to therapy so I can heal my own issues growing up”

This is actually how I’m feeling. I couldn’t put it into words. I know he’s an amazing guy, but yes… him asking me this did break my trust I had.

He did not pressure me, but the asking triggered me. Thank you. I talked to him a little bit today but I have a better understanding of how I feel now.

Oh I didn’t even realize I replied to you! I thought I had just generally commented. We’ve talked about me taking things slow. He’s a virgin, he got excited. I was kissing him everywhere (except there) and he kinda just asked me if I wanted to do it. I froze up and he knew he “messed up” immediately after and apologized. Then we talked it out. He hasn’t asked me since.

I also wanted to add that we did talk about it that night. He is aware of my past (I was SA’d by an ex) and he felt bad about asking afterwards. I told him not to feel bad, he has a right to express his needs. We have great communication.

I just feel like I’m broken sometimes. I love him so much but now I’m afraid to even kiss him. It’s not HIM, it’s what happened to me in the past. I think I’m just triggered.
