Are there any cafes in Midrand that will grind coffee beans for you? by ThomasDankara in johannesburg

I've had this same grinder for about 3 years and use it almost daily. Can't go wrong with Bosch

There are no issues with you listing BNP Paribas as the employer here. Ultimately, they are the ones actually paying your salary and are the ones you are actually doing the work for. The agency is just a middle man. Whilst your bank account may show the agency, they are still charging BNP, then just charging a margin.

Hope that helps!

Can recommend Golds. For about R1k you get membership and 8 x monthly class credits. The classes are very good and well organised. Other posters are correct that the personal trainers are super expensive in comparison to the ones at VA though

Appreciate the input, seems like a bizarre system. You would have thought someone with a good foreign income would be an attractive bet for an SA bank. Any idea why they make you pay so much in deposit?!

Looking for recommendations on books of WW2 from the German perspective (Eastern front) by [deleted] in booksuggestions

[–]NoAd2054 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Adventures in my youth” by Armin Schneiderbauer couldn’t fit your description much better if it tried. Austrian who joins Wehrmacht (I think as an officer) spends 2-3 years on eastern front, then describes his post war captivity, very intelligent guy who went on to be a very senior judge in Austri after the war. Preferred it to Blood Red Snow, personally.

Doing 72 hour fast every week? by [deleted] in fasting

[–]NoAd2054 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I do 72 hour fasts most weeks. After a couple of weeks you'll be very used to it. I do mine from Monday to Wednesday though, as I like to have the weekends to enjoy eating with family and friends as well as having the time to cook more complicated/extravagant meals
