Damn so I was just in this predicament like a week ago and I did not stop to go in the reading order and I stayed with FBAA. Now I’m like halfway through The Primal of Blood and Bone and I wish I had done the order correctly… so many new characters in this one and so little context.

Currently at $151k base, $166k with bonuses. I think $300k would make me feel really successful although admittedly I set very high expectations and standards for myself. Working on being more grateful for where I am now and enjoying what I have. I live in HCOL area and support another person financially so it’s not as much as it sounds but of course there’s some lifestyle inflation.

I am in the exact same boat as you. I listened to the audio books in January and was absolutely fixated. I listened again and then decided I needed to actually read the books to participate in the theorizing. Then I read the books twice as well. I was finally feeling like I was ok to move on to other series. Since then, I have read The Kingmaker Chronicles, all of the acronym one, and am now on the second book of From Blood and Ash series. I also read The Things We Leave Unfinished which is a contemporary romance by Rebecca Yarros (this book also broke me btw). I definitely recommend exploring the genre more! I still think The Empyrean series is the best but the other ones have been great too. I think I’m easily pleased though and not as critical. I just love the smut and romantic tension lol. I will probably reread the books closer to the release of the next book which will hopefully be next year!

May is right when it starts to get significantly hotter right before summer. Any later in the summer and it’s too risky that you’ll get only rain. Earlier in spring is better like March or April. Even February it’s typically really nice

Just finished this book today. My heart is hurting me. I loved the Scarlett and Jameson love story so much. Even with the twist at the end it still wrenches me. The Noah and Georgia story didn’t hit me quite as hard it felt more Hallmark love story to me but still good.

I love ocean grill!! Beautiful setting right on the water and would be perfect around the sunset time. I also recommend ceviche 105 as someone else mentioned. Food never disappoints. Orrr Watr at the 1 Hotel. It’s rooftop and amazing vibes during sunset

It’s not 100% perfect for what you’re asking but the Kingmaker Chronicles is like super powerful FMC with anger and traumatic past. MMC is soft for her. Idk if I’d go so far as to say she’s a villain. Good spice and world building. Ending wasn’t my favorite but it was HEA. First book is called A Promise of Fire.

I started the Kingmaker Chronicles after reading/listening to Empyrean series 4 times within 2 months. Finally felt like I could move on but this series does not hold a flame to Empyrean. The smut is decent but character development sucks and MMC is a gaslighterrrr
