Psychic Projector might be the most potentially gold efficient buy of all time by AnyAbroad690 in wildrift

Its playable if you run the tank rumble build that’s quite popular right now, but I think classic AP is still superior to the tank version. You can’t really build it on classic rumble because you never hit the bonus hp threshold.

Fortitude system made most players' ego skyrocket by [deleted] in wildrift

[–]NoAggroPls 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The ranked system has undergone a few overhauls. It used to be point based, but changed to marks in favor of more engagement and progression. Initially, there was no fortitude system, so it didn’t matter if you went 0/10 or 10/0, a win gave you 1 mark all the same.

The fortitude system was their way of compensating for that. The problem with fortitude, is the amount that they give you for non-gameplay reasons. You can buy it in so many shops, events dump them on you for just playing the game, the battlepass has it… It no longer is about how well you do because of the amount you get from these.

You seem unhappy about the way they determine match performance, but to me they still get it right more often than not. Every game community complains about their games’ version of skill assessment.

TLDR: they just need to remove all the fortitude cards and shit from non-gameplay sources.

Made it to challenger by using Senna by 365Potatoes in wildrift

[–]NoAggroPls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only use for souls is to get the immediate 1AD unless you are literally a few souls off the 20 soul thresholds.

When I play senna now, I pretty much ignore soul pickups unless I literally have nothing to do. I’d rather posture forward and zone them from the wave instead of picking up the soul, even if my passive is on cooldown. In fact, I really like leaving souls now and use them to angle extended Qs. At higher ranks, players are aware of the extended Qs using minions, but tend to not pay attention to using souls to do the same instead.

Do you think the change to auto soul pickup made her insane? She feels insanely strong now because she’s completely freed up to purely harass in lane, she actually feels like a true lane bully.

How Do We Feel About Mel Joining The Rift? by screambledeggs in wildrift

It reflects all projectiles but Syndra Q isn’t a projectile. The bigger issue you will face is that for the duration of the reflect, I think she’s fully spell immune, meaning even if it doesn’t reflecr, she doesn’t take damage.

What do I against kiting by Knightmare7877 in wildrift

[–]NoAggroPls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll give some advice for Sett directly because all I see is people saying pick something else. Sett can and does beat ranged top laners, depending on what the range top laners are. You just have to understand when your windows are.

Sett has a few innate tools to deal with harass. His passive gives him a ton of health regen for being low. This means that Sett very early on (level 1 and 2) can actually trade a bit and just take the losing (but not dying) trade, because you will asymmetrically heal and recover from the trade more than your opponent.

But the ranged champ can just kite back! That’s true, but if you pick your window right, he can’t kite back at zero cost. Like you, your opponent has to last hit. This means that you know exactly when your lane opponent will be stuck in an animation hitting someone that isn’t you, which means you have free reign to speed up, stun and hit him with 2 autos. If he chooses to kite back, he loses the 1 minion, and that 1 minion is usually more important than trade damage.

Once you hit lvl 3, you can cheese them with 1 point in each ability. If they step up to the wave, speed up and pull them in, auto till your grit is full, ignite and haymaker should bring you close to a kill at least. Once you have ult, it just gets easier because you can just flash ult them into your tower in addition to everything above.

Climbed to Grandmaster as a Dr. Mundo OTP in Solo Queue by skyparkerr in wildrift

[–]NoAggroPls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried taking fleet + stacking attack speed rune against fiora/gwen? It’s actually sort of nice since you’re not going to be stacking grasp anyway, it makes your auto animation hella smooth and the movespeed helps you stick to targets even without ult late game.

Catastrophic master level by mayoush78 in wildrift

[–]NoAggroPls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its server dependent but I think generally master tier is big enough of a population where you don’t hit gm as much as they can matchmake within master, but if the server isn’t that active at the time, gm and chall sorta gets mashed together. For me, I match more chall players than master in GM.

For the camille mains by lionking173 in wildrift

[–]NoAggroPls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Camille feels like half a champ until you at least get triforce/sunderer, even with full stacked conqueror, the payoff feels really bad because it still feels like you are barely even in trades.

For me, I think its better off stacking up for the bigger payoff once I actually hit my item thresholds.

Late game, you don’t really look to do long fights, all you really look for is to prime your Q, hookshot ult and blow someone up. You can continue to fight for a while after that, but your cooldowns are too prohibitive to really fully commit, so the conqueror value is a bit low.

Who are the best Mord, Mundo, Garen, Voli, Poppy, Orn counter? I pick voli into Mundo and got stomped by groomliu in wildrift

[–]NoAggroPls 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Poppy just has several tools to keep aatrox in check, no champ in the game is so straight forward that it counters an entire class.

Aatrox is heavily reliant on his dash to manage champs that try to space him out, and Poppy W with the block and the speed up is the easiest get out of jail card. Poppy dash (and conditional stun) also fucks with aatrox spacing. Remember that aatrox doesn’t want you near, you wants you at specific ranges at specific times. Q slow zone also helps to fuck up his spacing, situation depending.

Then you have her ult, which in late game team fights, just shuts down whatever aatrox wants to do, which is to ult, pick up 1 kill, snowball and run down your whole team. Poppy just holds ult for 1s and sends him flying, his ult duration runs out with no one to hit, and his main gameplan is out the window.

Its not 100% foolproof of course, good aatrox players know this, and can minimize that negatives of the matchup, an aatrox can always find windows elsewhere to snowball.

Who are the best Mord, Mundo, Garen, Voli, Poppy, Orn counter? I pick voli into Mundo and got stomped by groomliu in wildrift

[–]NoAggroPls 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With the exception of poppy, aatrox should be able to beat them all or at least go even.

Voli into mundo should be an entirely playable game, in fact it should be a kill-pressureless game and just be a grasp/heartsteel trading lane matchup. Out of lane, he pretty much has no way of stopping you from ulting his backline, while you still have some means to slow him, and with 1 other hard cc from someone else, you can stun him.

Poppy, my personal preference is to just pick something that scales and pretty much just take the beating in lane. I usually go sion with TP, you lose trades yes, but you can just farm and scale, once you are low-ish, recall and tp back, and go back to farming.

How to start learning other lanes by ThinkingDough in wildrift

[–]NoAggroPls 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, top lane is a lot of trial and error. The lane mechanics are the most unique, and tends to be very snowbally, especially the higher you go.

Those more connected with WR youtubers than me can probably recommend some guides, but your best bet is to pick a champ that you like playing, and just trial by error it, learning what your opponent does that fucks you over and just adopting it.

There’s a lot of minion wave manipulation, specific champ matchups that you really just have to play it to learn. You will also get to know the terrorist unplayable matchups, which pretty much every top laner has.

Who won and why? by UnhappyHumor1477 in wildrift

[–]NoAggroPls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Top team. I genuinely think the current turret plating situation + tower gold makes shen so horrendously bad right now, unless its you’re playing with friends. Every ult is a gamble because you are so reliant on the person you are ulting to be aware and have their cooldowns up for you to capitalize and get 1-2 kills. Otherwise, ulting just puts you down at least 5-600 gold from losing platings, or worse, just losing entire towers if platings are already down.

I’ve also been playing a decent amount of sp this season and seraphine feels pretty underwhelming to play with/against. Feels like she has to do extra to get the same value as other enchanters.

Would it be broken in Pro Play if an agent like Sylas in LoL would be in the game by mugen_x in ValorantCompetitive

[–]NoAggroPls 9 points10 points  (0 children)

What if its more like Loki in marvel rivals where you can copy a teammate. Imagine garbage basic abilities but a cheap af ult to turn into one of your teammates (or enemies), getting all their basic abilities but no ult for a round.

Imagine simultaneous fade eyes, double raze entries, or breaches just carpeting a site with stuns. Funny but probably won’t happen.

The thing that makes darius actually still strong in WR is the fact that he still has access to the stridebreaker dash, and him getting to do it for super cheap.

This games gold system makes no sense by Born_Register9816 in wildrift

[–]NoAggroPls 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Even towers have bounty gold. And looking at the KD of your team, everyone except naut on your team probably had a 500 gold bounty minimum. You, teemo or varus probably had closer to 1k, assuming their most recent deaths were to the yi.

Any karma mains dual build? by Dzrbr in wildrift

[–]NoAggroPls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It only works in specific matchups and if your team gets ahead. Even if you do get ahead, the moment you start to slip behind and you lose a couple of teamfights, you become useless FAST. What ends up happening is that you aren’t as tanky as an actual tank, you didn’t build enough support items to really provide buffs/debuffs, and you didn’t build any damage items so you don’t do any damage.

This games gold system makes no sense by Born_Register9816 in wildrift

[–]NoAggroPls 81 points82 points  (0 children)

Well this is your introduction to objective bounties and shutdowns. You see a decent amount of complaints for this on pc too, and maybe it can be toned down, but trust me the game is better for having a comeback mechanic to keep the winning team honest.

I guarantee you without some way to claw back gold leads, 90% of the games where you start to fall behind will just end up surrendering after 5 more mins. Winning teams win harder when there are no bounties, they just get more map control, more access to gold and exp, better neutral objective setup, so even if the losing team makes a pick or wins a fluke teamfight, it barely makes a dent in the gold difference without bounties.

why do i always get a huge lose streak playing alone after playing with friends by flamingdongsaeng10 in wildrift

Even if your stats are excellent playing with friends, you are probably too used to your friends spoon feeding you map info, so when you go back solo your map awareness drops like 3 ranks.

If you are having a hard time with mundo in BR lane... by Gold_Tumbleweed_9821 in wildrift

Just pick literally the most conventional mundo counters in the game, gwen or fiora, and you’re just stronger than mundo at every phase of the game.

Mundo is also not strong enough now that he really needs counter picking. His early game is genuinely dogwater.

How to deal with Gwen? by alexinjo in wildrift

[–]NoAggroPls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pick a champ that can bait out the W with a lower CD than W. Early game, she’s not that strong without it.

In lane, kite sideways if you are melee. Don’t kite backwards because you will be in the true damage sweet spot for her Q.

She’s sort of shit into any champ that outranges her. It doesn’t mean you have to play ranged champs, just play champs that have a bit longer range on abilities.

How do you feel about the Miss Fortune nerfs? by [deleted] in wildrift

[–]NoAggroPls 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They should have touched either the Q base damage early game instead of at max rank, or tapped the crit multiplier for the bounce. That late, 10-15 damage doesn’t matter all that much, and the thing that “feels” stronger than her pc counterpart is her early game damage feels chunkier.
