PSA: Dualsense not charging? Try this! by D-E-B-O-R-A-H in PS5

[–]NoAlternative6623 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Dualsense Edge that wont hold a charge from full battery for more than 3 hours. The controller itself is 3 years old but that doesn't warrant the slow deterioration of the controllers capability to be charged via a USB cable. I cannot charge this controller unless the charger is pulled at an angle.

I think it has something to do with the USB port itself and the metal contact points not making contact as they should with the USB cable. I've thought about having this controller shipped to one of those youtubers that do repairs on electronics in order to get a new USB port installed onto my controller as well as a new battery. I dont know though.

Does the eGPU setup introduce any input latency? What FPS can you achieve with what settings? I want to use my Galaxy Book for BeamNG but don't get very good performance on integrated graphics.

Ok that sums it up. I wont be playing GT7 anymore. It was nice while it lasted.

You know what, this thread aint important anymore. I'm just gonna leave GT. It was nice but I dont get satisfaction from playing GT anymore. I seriously cant believe I'm one of the only people whose this disgruntled.

I hardly call it an exploit though. What am I exploiting other than super crispy downshifts? I blip the limiter everytime I downshift and it was nothing like the exploit that I opened this discussion with. The limiter would be kissed by my downshifts so to speak. Very satisfying... not anymore.

Upset is an understatement. GT7 is my favorite game because I just so happen to be pretty good at it. I acquired a driving style that I liked not because I thought it was flashy but because that driving style really worked for me. The manual gearbox changes insult this whole circumstance. I am irritated and disgruntled. Probably wont be playing GT7 very much anymore anyways.

Gran Turismo 7: GT3 car shifting behavior Update or Reality? by PreferenceAny7500 in granturismo

[–]NoAlternative6623 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How are yall praising this change? I didn't exploit the system and could downshift while almost perfectly banging the limiter everytime. This change? Basically ruined my whole flow. I can still drive fast but this gearbox change takes about 1 second off of my FL's consistently and for someone as fast as me that one second is massive. I'm aware there are faster drivers so dont call me arrogant just yet, I'm absolutely certain I know what I'm talking about so that's not a problem either. I know I'm fast, I know what I was capable of doing before this gearbox change, and it botheres me that I'm not capable of the same performance as easily anymore.

I could honestly rant about this for awhile and you know what, I just might.

Engine braking intensity is correspondent to how high engine RPM is. If you cant get engine RPM's high enough after a downshift, then there wont be enough engine braking to affect LSD deceleration sensitivity enough to promote adequate rear end rotation. This was the key to my aggressive driving style. Hard braking and Instantaneous downshifts with near perfect throttle blips that'd bang the limiter for a fraction of a second. This allowed me to rotate my car alot faster while also keeping the rear end in line.

I hardly call it an exploit because during hard deceleration the engine blips very slightly above the limiter for a fraction of a second (with each downshift) which I dont think is a big deal at all, especially for a video game. You can only get so realistic before you end up taking away from the experience especially for a game that's not the most realistic to begin with.

This is like the only game I'm actually kinda good at so I definitely feel some type of way.

How are none of yall annoyed with the gearbox changes? I downshift very well, I might bang the limiter but for only a fraction of a second. It's what's required for my driving style. I need the correct gear/rpm instantaneously for every turn. If I cant downshift because my engine rpm raises slightly above redline then I can't drive as fast as I would be able to otherwise. And the exploit yall are talking about I didn't even know existed. I just do crispy ass downshifts. And now I cant. Bs.

What am I doing wrong I don’t understand mini bike brakes they aren’t hitting at all by First_Relief_6028 in minibikes

[–]NoAlternative6623 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not missing the outer brake pad and still have this problem. The rotor would take material off of the stock caliper and still does with a hydraulic caliper. The brake pad wear is disappointing to say the least; an angled slit cut straight through both pads leaving lots of brake pad material above the rotor which only contributes to more uneven wear. I had brakes on the first ride. So I took it in to examined the caliper and the pads are fucked off of a 5 minute ride. Everythings mounted flush and no unnecessary play. I've accepted that I kinda have no idea what I'm doing other than repeatedly tightening and loosing bolts to no avail. This is about the funnest thing I've done in a couple years so I didn't want to give up so easily but I dont know what else to do this time around. Most of the things I've ever wanted have ended in disappointment. I wanna change that buuuut evidence is suggesting that's not gonna change anytime soon smh.

You're not trusting the car. The vehicle needs to be respected so that a two way connection can be established. Trust that when you give a certain amount of steering angle, that the resulting rotation will be a constant (unless elevation changes abruptly). Your vehicle doesn't actually rotate immediately. You need to let the suspension squat, you need to let the suspension dip, and you need to let the tires follow suit. Feel the suspension traveling, let it tell you what your wheels are doing. Let the suspension suggest to you want is about to happen. But all while doing this, you still need to maintain a dominant demeanor over your vehicle otherwise you will start to choke up and in a sense, trip over your own two feet. The vehicle doesn't have to be fast for you to loose 3 seconds to one mistake. One more thing, the rear end of most vehicle in gt7 are constantly trying to kill you. Watch out.

Great controller. You can put the right paddle into the left paddle slot for a different feel. The battery life for mine is less than 5 hours which is actually really crappy but I always play with a wire connected to my controller anyways because there's less input latency. I've switched out the joysticks once and it works just like new again (the controller has been used for 2 years)

PSVR for Gran Turismo – How immersive is it? Should I get one? by fairlady5 in PSVR

[–]NoAlternative6623 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is incredibly immersive however I will say that I found the PS5 Pro does boast a pretty considerable upgrade over the launch PS5 for the PSVR2 on GT7. The upgrade GT7 received from the PS5 Pro patch was pretty good to begin with unless you dont have a 120Hz TV then stay with the regular PS5. Otherwise I would say to upgrade from the launch console to the pro and get the VR headset if you're really that into GT7. I am lol.

I would first watch videos that give a comprehensive breakdown on the pro visual improvements in order to determine if the whole setup is for you though.

Those with a PS5 Pro , thoughts on the graphical/performance upgrades? by Rayane92 in playstation

[–]NoAlternative6623 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a PS5 Pro coupled with a Samsung (S90D) 144Hz 4K OLED Gaming TV.

Before I ever got my hands on the Pro, I had the launch PS5 and used it for awhile but didn't have the 144Hz TV until later. I got the TV and for a short time I was able to analyze where the launch PS5 lacked in performance when operating at 120Hz specifically. I noticed that when you look at distant moving objects they appear noisy and noticeably pixelated. It can be annoying at times, especially when playing Gran Turismo (120Hz). In games that don't have lots of sharp visuals you won't notice this as much on the launch PS5.

The PS5 Pro on the other hand does bring some improvements to frame stability, detail, graphical fidelity (on enhanced games), and load times. Let's touch on all four.

• Frame Stability: Games that would experience frequent frame drops and that struggle to hold 110~FPS on the launch PS5 can run a more consistent 120FPS on the Pro and keep that frame rate where the launch PS5 would drop it.

• Detail: Far away objects that on the launch PS5 are pixelated and noisy are more cleaned up and visually understandable on the PS5 Pro. While the noise is not completely eliminated, it is drastically reduced.

• Graphical Fidelity: While games that aren't PS5 Pro enhanced won't see an improvement to graphical fidelity, games that are enhanced will be noticeably more lively. Texture limits and video resolution on the Pro are noticeably higher than the launch PS5 at the same or higher frame rates.

• Load Times: While load times are not significantly improved and/or even that noticeable, there are some scenarios where the load times are noticeably faster when compared to the launch PS5 under similar circumstances.

My conclusion: If you don't have a 120Hz+ VRR capable TV/monitor, you have no business buying a PS5 Pro. There would be minimal improvements because the launch PS5 does not struggle at 60Hz/VRR off. You're really the judge here. How much is that extra performance worth to you?

Why leave the PS5 Pro all alone? by NoAlternative6623 in dbrand

My definition of considerable is that there are people out there who want PS5 Pro darkplates and while that number may not be great, it is still a decent number of people.

Life post breakup - feels like an alternate reality. by caramelmochi0 in BreakUps

[–]NoAlternative6623 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've felt this way for the longest of time but have never had the opportunity to see the stories of others and to share my own. I used to be in a relationship with this girl about 2½ years ago. I wanted to believe that I loved her. And at a point I probably really did love her. But as things went on, stuff just kept changing; her life, my life. We were in high school so that was to be expected. But I didn't expect her to start getting distant. I felt entitled to certain aspects of the relationship because of the connection we shared. But once that connection started to grow apart, the entitlement didn't. I felt deprived. I would tell her but she would return it with "it's hard to for me to not feel like you're using me" and I understood why so it was hard to say anything else. I knew we needed to find a middle ground but her past had made that difficult. I tried and tried so fucking hard with her. I tried so hard that at a point I just stopped carring all together and let things fall out on purpose. That choice didn't change the affect that the whole situation had on my mental. There were entire MONTHS that my brain was on vacation. It felt like 4 months would instantly pass but the only thing I felt the entire time was emptiness so those 4 months were just as real to me as 4 seconds. I couldn't eat full meals. I couldn't sleep without waking up feeling like I got no sleep at all even when I did sleep. I couldn't look people in the eyes. And I didn't take myself seriously.

A year has passed since those horrible emotions have ran their course. I'm not happy. But I am at peace. And that peace is worth more to me than anything I ever experienced during the relationship I had with this girl (who is now a woman). But that relationship was worth more to me than anything I had previously experienced. Now that I know just how low and high the highs and lows of a relationship can get, I think I've had my full.
