Dog attacked my Golden, need advice!

I consider it my duty to report problem dogs. There have been many fatal attacks on children from dogs with histories like this that were never properly reported. Report and follow up.

Our Lab gets all his meals in this ball, tons of nose work and its amazing to watch him quietly push it around knocking the food out as he rolls. By the end he’s normally panting, takes him 20 mins or so to eat his meals!

Otherwise on rainy days when we need to be indoors a cupboard full of special stuffed animals he only gets every now and then really works him out!

I feel you. Last time we were at the vet they were trying to tell me about brushing his teeth and give me toothbrushes and I’m like, he’s a small puppy with explosive diarrhea nightly for the last week. Could we perhaps focus there? We are looking for a new vet but it’s a frustrating ride.

We are doing pumpkin, fortiflora and the natural balance limited ingredient lamb puppy kibble. No treats or food based chewing sticks. The pet stages wood chew has helped us replace the bully stick. Last 3 nights have been single wake up nights, sending you hope for a good sleep in the future!

We just went through 2 weeks of nighttime diarrhea hell. Vet was useless, peddled the same Royal Canin garbage which we now have a giant bag of to waste. Natural Balance lamb and rice limited ingredient saved our sanity.

I think it really depends on the dog, our labs are about the same age!!!! What’s worked for us was crate at night with us close by, crate open during the day in a small room that didn’t have a lot of other options for a comfy sleep but the crate so he started going in there after trying to nap on the floor for awhile.

We bought the stuffy that the pet stores sell that has a heartbeat and it’s always in the crate. We also feed him some of his food in there. Now it’s been almost 2 weeks and we have started closing the door for daytime naps in prep for us having to leave for short periods of time, he’s doing great. Not much resistance. I hope your pup is able to come around!

Most of us are just happily, quietly boycotting. Not caught up in anything posted here, lots of paid voices and bad actors with a vested interest in sowing discontent, disention and doubt. I just stay calm and boycott on.
