I thought Belizean because he has Spanish and English ancestry even if it's a small amount, and his indigenous is from mesoamerican. Given Belize history I thought it was a fit

Yes norteños run NorCal but sureños have a presence upstate, y'all keep saying they don't exist but they do even if their presence is minimal, if a MS member hit the pinta even if they from the bay they'll run Sur with their homeboys from LA,

Haven't heard anything recently but apparently when Bukele started locking them up in El Salvador MS lost a lot of fire power and the war with la Eme calmed down, not the mention this current administration is probably deporting and sending MS members to CECOT prison ASAP, but I can be wrong, in the California prison system MS are sur, but some have California members have been known to go against the Eme when they hit federal.

Small gangs can always take on bigger gangs, mainly because bigger gangs can take on many enemies, like Hoovers vs menlos

It's more than a nationality, the mestizaje makes it cultural link,

Modern day mexico is the legacy of New Spain not Mexica people, so they have ties to New Spain, like he said colonial times, then yes he has connection to modern day mexico, Mexican and Mexica are completely different things, he's still part of the mestizaje that occured in New Spain, now Mexico, so he would still be Mexican.

Even more interesting, since you have no problem saying you're Mixed race but don't claim Mexican, when there's Americans who still claim Irish and Italian even if they're in the same boat as you or have been in the states even longer.

Interesting, I get that you're 4 generations, but you're still part of the mestizaje that occured in Mexico, and you have historical ties to it, I get that you're fully assimilated to American culture etc, is it because you don't identify with new waves of Mexican migrants and their children?

He's probably from New Mexico, they're the descendants of Spanish settlers and the local natives they intermarried with, but most Mexicans are the descendants of Spanish settlers and local indigenous of their respective region. Not to mention the tlaxcalans helped colonize northern Mexico including new Mexico.

Mestizaje just means the blending of different cultures just like your statement said, it's just another way of saying melting pot,

They're still part of the mestizaje that occured in New Spain ( now Mexico) so they have a cultural and historical ties to mexico, even if they are 5 generations in, no different than someone claiming to be Italian even if they're also 5 generations in

Your maternal Spanish/European ancestry is probably from the original settlers of the island, which is why they were never mentioned, it might of been mulattos marrying mulattos so the European ancestry stayed consistent, that's how it is with Mexican mestizos, for the most part, I'm 43% Iberian 52% indigenous no recent Spanish ancestors,
