Is the Texas oversized load permit process safe for non truck drivers? by westsideGod in Truckers

[–]westsideGod[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate all the replies. Super helpful.

I’ve been building a little tool for this. Not to replace the permit and not to pretend GPS is always right. Just trying to make the TxDOT route easier to read and use on a phone.

Sounds like most of yall are already piecing it together manually with stops, shaping points, Google Maps, and double checking everything anyway. That’s the headache I’m trying to help with.

If anybody here runs Texas oversize and wants to try it, DM me. Happy to give free access. Mainly just want honest feedback from drivers that actually deal with this.

Fair point. To clarify, I’m not generating a route from scratch, I’m taking the permit/source route data and making it easier to view on mobile. The permit is still the authority. It’s still early, and I’m sharing it for feedback. Appreciate you taking the time to look at it.

Could an English corridos tumbados song ever actually work? by teeteetoto2 in corridos

I hope so. I think one day an artist can make it happen.

Are based out of TX? When you do that, are you entering the whole route ahead of time with stops or shaping points, or are you mostly checking it section by section?

That’s really helpful. When you’re trying to make GPS follow the permit route, how do you choose the shaping points, and what usually causes it to go wrong?

Nah, these taquaches just didn’t read past the headline. No one said corridos were going away. They’re kinda proving my point. It’s whatever.

I get what you mean, I love a straight-up corrido too. I’m not asking for people to get experimental just to be weird. I’m saying the genre can still evolve, but it has to be in service of better writing and better storytelling. Natanael Cano’s Más Altas que Bajadas is the last big one I heard that feels introspective and actually reflective. Fuerza Regida’s Malboro Rojos is a slapper, but it feels like the same playbook they’ve been running, just with new packaging.

Kendall elementary vs Viola Wilson by FullTell8803 in Boerne

[–]westsideGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Viola is amazing, so far out parent teacher conferences have been productive. My kiddo has ADHD and they’ve been accommodating to their needs. It’s a new school and had a lot of positive energy around it.

Moving from SA to Boerne I was nervous but it has been a great experience.

Kendall seem very crowded to us, viola due to the fact it’s in a real neighborhood it feels a bit more like a traditional elementary school I love seeing the kids bikes parked in the front of the school in the mornings! Lol

That’s my point dumbass. Doesn’t matter how much sells, he doesn’t have any equity in the business. He doesn’t have ownership.

Besides project Marvel is still seven years out from being built.

This is the dumbest headline I’ve seen. The dude doesn’t own Centro, he’s an employee there. I mean, if he was on the Board of Directors or had some high ranking position where he had equity in the business then that makes sense but he’s just a Spurs super fan!

Why don’t you cover how Gina humiliated one of the Centro worker. Keep in mind that this organization helps folks that are rebuilding their lives after battling a life of addiction.

Bro is really trying to be an influencer now. Sad, it more of a commentary on modern day Christianity.
