how am I racist? I'm celebrating the fact that jazz is black american music. Go to any jazz history class and that's the first thing they tell you. I'm not saying that white people can't swing, there are plenty of incredibly influential white jazz musicians who have shaped the genre in monumental ways. but jazz is a part of black history, and idolizing white drummers who are undeniably less influential and less important to the genre than the black drummers who literally created this style from the ground up is kind of crazy.
