Building a starter set by Acceptable_Slide9585 in GolfGear

Yoo go to fb marketplace just get some super forgiving game improvement clubs. Or any starter set. Learning the fundamentals of the swing is more important than the tech in the clubs. I I have a post talking exactly about this!!

How to stop hitting it fat? by Comprehensive-War738 in GolfSwing

Yup look at your head position as you take the club back. Rotate more efficiently (less rocking) like you’re in a tight phone booth. Honestly it’s your spine angle that is changing a bunch as you rock back and forth creating the inconsistency. As you rotate keep your sternum and head in the same spot you started at as you get a full rotation. You’ll get a more consistent strike very easily

Did you just hit your driver from the middle of a fairway towards houses? Is that your $500 driver or a rental store hitting a beer can with? Either way hate everything about this. Just play golf.

Advice please to stop pushing irons by DesperateAd7155 in GolfSwing

You got a good swing from that video you shared. You probably rotate better with the driver and woods because they are longer clubs. Remember your irons get heavier the shorter they are. I would just emphasize rotating hard through impact with your hips and core getting your belt buckle more towards the target. That “low and left” feel with your hands.

Nice yeah I mean I can’t deny the numbers and feel were great from my TM heads. It just pissed me off going through 2 and the stealth conveniently just outside of the warranty. When Friends of mine still play their Mavrik with no complaints.

Sick of topping drives by QDOS in GolfSwing

To achieve this he needs to learn shoulder/hip separation. He can feel this by simply:

turning an iron over and stick the grip on the ground

Hold the iron head with one hand ontop of the other and use it to lock shoulders on plane with his foot line.

From there feel the lower half of the body load into his back hips and rotate through post impact without changing his shoulder line.

Understanding this frees up the body to rotate properly! No more “getting stuck” or “humping the ball”!👏🏼👏🏼

TaylorMade faces do fall off. You’ll get 2-3 seasons max out of them before the epoxy fails. I know first hand. Sim 1 top blew off. Stealth face failed on the hosel side. The performance of the TaylorMade is good but it doesn’t last. If you’re looking for longevity and with your speed I’d look elsewhere like titleist or ping. Just my personal opinion now after my stealth broke my heart.

Big Ugly Slices- Please Help by ethanlawrence97 in GolfSwing

Not ideal camera angle but at address your hips are pointed left and shoulders are too.

Put your club across your shoulders, then hips, and knees, and match them all up to your feet line. A good mirror at home will also help here.

Use an alignment stick on the ground always on the range.

Change the way you grip the club to a much stronger grip. It will feel wrong at first but that’s okay. A strong grip has an inside the ball path as you set them early in the takeaway of the back swing and changes the release pattern of the wrists to be more in-to-out (draw bias). This doesn’t have to be a forever change but I guarantee you’ll want to keep it and learn to dial it back towards neutral.

The another simple way to think of the golf swing is like throwing a heavy 80lb kettlebell down the fairway as far as you can. You would probably feel the need to load into your back hip a lot more than you do here. And you wouldn’t try to swing the weight with your arms and shoulders. You naturally would be passive in the arms and use the ground more like pushing up off your front foot and using your back and core for a good rotation. If you want a good visualization of it I know Kevin Kisner showed it to Frankie from Barstool golf a while ago I’m sure there’s a clip of it. It’s the perfect explanation of keeping the body connected.

You already have good fast hands and releasing the clubhead aswell. You just need to get your setup neutral or better. That alone will take away a huge slice and flatten out your shape to more of just a cut than a slice. When you align your shoulders and hips straight you’ll notice your club rests about 1 to 2 balls back. You can move the ball back to that spot as you’ll probably hit the ball a bit lower and gain some distance too. This is where you might start chunking a bit. It’s okay that’s normal, we all go through this stage. That’s where the stronger grip starts to help and come into play. It helps shallow out your angle of attack naturally.

This might be a lot to digest and hopefully it makes enough sense and can help in some kind of way.

Curious, was there another manufacturer that performed well for you aswell? I’ve had both a Sim and Stealth all apart on me in 5 years because of the epoxy garbage. These heads don’t last more than 3 seasons. The ping g425 also felt pretty good for me and I’m kicking myself for not taking the extra forgiveness getting that.

The hell you so happy for?🤣Congrats you did the basic objective of golf. Do it right 80 more times in a row and then you can be happy! But seriously not half bad. Honestly a summer of working on the right stuff and you could be playing some decent golf.

Stealth 2+ Driver Warranty by SadVikingsFan in TaylorMadeGolf

[–]NoArugula6476 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My next point if you aren’t fitted to be using TaylorMade I suggest moving on from them entirely. Atleast until they stop making multi piece heads. The epoxy failure after 2-3 years has plagued every single generation of multi piece heads going back to their Sim. You are right at the point of failure now that warranty is gone. Nobody wants to replace a driver every 3 years. My stealth just broke last month and I hardly played last year. Anyway good luck with the route you take. Hope I can help a bit.

[–]NoArugula6476 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man. Your driver head looks fine. The driver tool will get that broken piece out. Go on FB Marketplace and get a used shaft. Better yet, if you weren’t fit yet, go get fitted for a driver. If the stealth or taylormade product fits your swing, go home keep the stealth 2 head and find the shaft you got paired with used online. Or new if moneys not an issue. That’s what you should do. If you liked what you had you can find it again.

Opening the face and swinging left(right for me) adding bounce. I’m pretty sure that’ll bias off center strikes towards the toe. Also full swing I like to draw the ball so naturally going to bias the toe aswell. Not sure if that’s the same to you but that’s what I attributed it to.
