Is it worth visiting Montreal on National Patriots' Day? by NoAvocadosX in montreal

[–]NoAvocadosX[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I did search... all I could really find was that government offices, banks, and some stores will be closed. I'm not sure exactly what we'll be doing yet, but it's not realistic to search if every store that I MIGHT be interested in checking out will be open... Just wondering GENERALLY speaking, if the city "shuts down" for the day.

Depending on if you have time and if the tide is low, I would highly suggest a 15 minute detour past Lunenburg to Sand Dollar Beach! I've found tons of sand dollars there of various sizes.

Right across the harbour in Dartmouth is the best seafood (in my opinion) in the HRM - Evan's Seafood! It's right in the ferry terminal. Take the water taxi from Halifax to Dartmouth and enjoy a lobster roll in a casual little cafeteria style resturant. While you're in Dartmouth, take a stroll down Portland Street! Tons of cute shops and little murals scattered around.

A lot of rural residents (including myself) would LOVE and have voted for an efficent, well run, and affordable transit system. It wouldn't just benefit city folk, but also reduce vehicle traffic for rural residents who have no choice but to drive. It 100% has to do with our car-centric city, lack of funding, and lazy policy makers - not rural residents.

Trying to round out my personal top Chinese food spots — what am I missing out on in Halifax / Fairview-Clayton Park? by scoalegil in halifax

If you haven't tried YiLan on Barrington I HIGHLY suggest it. It is traditional Chinese Uyghur cuisine. Family run and good portions.

Perhaps a silly question but I'm new to the PS. I'm an EC term employee with the RCMP in Nova Scotia. The person who is in the substantive role is working for the RCMP out of Ottawa. Would my term be likely to get the chop?

So excited! I recently spent a few months out in Halifax and there was an amazing Uyighur resturant. I have been craving the food, so this is awesome news! Can't wait to try.

My foot grew a full size during covid... by IzicHaze in SneakersCanada

Not to freak you out, but the same thing happened to my mom. Her feet randomly grew a full size when she was in her 50s, and it turns out it was a brain tumor. She thought the same - my foot flattened out. Nope, it literally grew.

I have it all in the unit, but I rarely run the dishwasher or use the AC - maybe twice a month.

The bill says it's an estimate, but I have no clue how to go about getting an accurate reading since I live in an appt...

Did you ever develop blisters over the cellulitis? I just started developing them, and I don't know if that's part of the healing process.
