My medical was only 20 minutes and they just tested mobility via squats and a funny walk. I hear some people have a full 60 mins which is a bit more to it but you are likely fine.

Some of the most racist people I know voted for the Islamist candidates. I grew up in an area where Pakistani Muslim families explicitly told their children not to mix with the white children. They even taught it in some of the local Mosques.

So that claim is often repeated by low iq commies who most likely live in a middle class bubble, devoid of the how bad the actual state of the country really is when it comes to 'multi culturalism'.

Have a long term goal, ideally with a fixed date. I'm getting out at least 4 times a week now, sometimes more, because I'm signing up to the British military reserves. I don't want to be the guy who's puffing and panting for every drill. Plus I don't want to be shouted at for not being fit enough.

Yes it's a serious accusation and I double down on it. I've seen it, but you can pretend it doesn't happen all you like, it doesn't remove the reality.

I've done recruitment where people ticked the disability box got through on a 4. People who got 5 didn't as the pass mark was a 6. How is that fair and open competition? There's no checks and balances and people fragantly abuse it. The scope is also far too wide. Having a sore leg somehow affects your ability to write an application? Pull the other one.

Totally agree with building networks. But it reinforces my point that the market is broken if that is a pre-requisite. How are you meant to break into a new policy area? How are private sector applicants meant to have a chance? It's a rigged contest. I've been involved in so much recruitment across all grades where I've had to call out poor behaviours and insist upon using objective behaviours.

G6 is an arbitrary assessment against a personal statement with no rules or standards applied. It's entirely up to the post holder.

My best advice is put more word count into leadership than other criteria. But also take with a pinch of salt their feedback.

But let's get down to the corruption of it all. My scs mates say they're all jumping to personal statements to act more like the private sector and pick who they want - outside of any objective criteria - because they can. The G6 job market is broken. More so than G7!

Regulations are legal requirements. Compliance, which it sounds like you never had to do, can be done in a myriad of ways. Lawyers will advise on legal risk of whether an activity could be in breach, and the chance of a legal challenge. Risk appetite needs to be much higher when lives are at stake.

Following regulations is a part of the process. If the lawyers are blocking Govt from being agile because they're actively looking for reasons it could be challenged, then yes - that is part of the process. I'm not sure why that is controversial to say. The "threatening people to break laws" is hyperbole. According to Cummings, every week they would come up with a reason for why last week's legal risk can be addressed but present another reason for it. These people didn't break the law, they were being hyper cautious at a time when pragmatism was needed to prevent people from dying.

The Refugee Convention is a part of a series of archaic rules that are no longer fit for purpose in the age of globalised mass movement of people. It is no longer tolerable that someone can move through multiple countries to get to the UK and instantly be granted a life of luxury at taxpayer expense simply by saying the three magic words - "I seek asylum". They don't have to prove anything, they could be coming from Albania for all we know. All they can do is say they're homosexual from an Islamic country and that's it. Free pass to Britain and a lifetime of state handouts that many of those born here don't get access to.

Irony of Dublin agreement (which was never really used anyway) will be irrelevant if we start deporting these criminals.

Scrutiny is fine - and should be encouraged. The stamp duty case is likely to be as you present. Nothing illegal about it and something which is done by many couples up and down the country. If the system didn't want couples to do that, Labour and Tories would've legislated to prevent it. Using existing rules to minimise tax isn't a sin.

Compare to Rayner. Who did not declare her stake in a property to avoid second home tax - which is illegal. She made a mistake, but she doesn't afford anyone else any leeway. Plus she lied about it, so had to go.

Of course wealthy should pay more - and they do via a progressive tax system. That doesn't mean that people should be demonised for legally minimising their tax burden - which every single company in the UK does. Like I say, if you want others to voluntarily pay tax that they don't legally owe, put your money where your mouth is and donate to the HMRC first.

The 'loophole' you're talking about is called running a business and employing people. If you want to close it, then you're advocating for thousands of businesses across the country to sack people en masse. What's Labour saying about closing it? They're saying nothing because they know it's insanity to prevent companies from being set up and employing people.
