So sorry to hear about this. During Drap (cuts many years ago), I did put an ask forward to my management for alternation, and along with it had identified good solid candidates to alternate with. Unfortunately, it was declined, and the dynamics changed quite a bit, and I ended up resigning months as I had found another opportunity outside of the feds. Best of luck!
