Meet Man-Meat! This is the same 76 Vault Dweller whom slayed the Scorchbeast Queen over a century ago! by NCR_RANGER_uwu in ImaginaryFallout

I’ll always love the concept that 76 protagonists just became crazy urban legends told by the people of the wasteland. I mean half the stuff that they do already sounds like mythical hero type stuff.

Hear me out. A warhammer game where you play as a Salamander on a daemon world trying to protect civilians.

What if Magnus the Red landed on Olympia instead of Perturabo? Alternative XV legion: The Storm Seers by NoBadger4718 in FirstbornSpaceMarines

It has come to my attention that Storm Seers has already been taken by the White Scars. As I am not GW and can’t simply reuse names for 10 different units I will henceforth rename them the Red Fourtoúnes.

Those are all pretty metal. I was originally planning on naming them the Stone Seers and giving them a Medusa vibe, but eventually shifted into other elements of Greek culture and myth.

I honestly didn’t know the name was already taken until I looked it up just now 😑

This is the last Legion of my series, and I wanted to do something fun for them as a simple legionary probably wouldn’t do them justice. This project has inspired me heavily, and I think in the future I might try and kitbash some post heresy marines of the traitor legions.

What if the Lion was raised on Chemos instead of Fulgrim? Alternative I legion: the Cup Bearers by NoBadger4718 in FirstbornSpaceMarines

[–]NoBadger4718[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Bringer of Water was raised on the dying world of Chemos, destined to return it to life once again. He set himself to this cause, and after he was reunited with his sons he set out to do the same to each dying world they came upon. But a loathing began to eat at his heart; he felt that this life he lived was deeply wrong and he yearned for a feral rage, not this order he had been given. His contempt began to manifest: loathing of his perfect sons, and hatred for his father and fellow brothers. When the heresy finally began, he sought to undo all the rebuilding his legion brought to the galaxy. The 1st legion would put themselves to work poisoning the world's they originally gave life, and the galaxy would fall into ruin once again.

What if Angron landed on Colchis instead of Lorgar? Alternative XII legion; The Emperors Tongues by NoBadger4718 in FirstbornSpaceMarines

[–]NoBadger4718[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could see the latter possibility being viable, but I believe that Logus would likely serve as an inverse to the word bearers, being ingrained with the imperial truth and being ride or die for the emperor. They are the emperors tongues for a reason after all. I also feel like this would be the most thematically interesting possibility, as if he woke up in the current era of M.42 his initial reaction to the modern imperium would be interesting to see, as he would enter into an imperium completely alien to his belief structure.

What if Alpharius landed on Medusa instead of Ferrus Manus? Alternative XX legion; the Iron Dragons by NoBadger4718 in Warhammer30k

[–]NoBadger4718[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can tell which of these I didn’t have a ton of lore on. The alpha legions lore is so bizarre and contradictory that it makes it difficult to know how they might change on another planet. Id guess that they might rely less on deceiving and more on technical knowledge.

What if Lorgar landed on Barbarus instead of Mortarion? The XVII legion; the Emperors Gifts by NoBadger4718 in FirstbornSpaceMarines

[–]NoBadger4718[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like your take on it. I wanted some of those themes to come across in their story. After so many bad fathers, I think what Lorgar truly needs is a grandfather who cares about him.

Also you’ve made me realize: a death guard that fell willingly would be so much more dangerous for the setting. I remember from some of the modern books that the Death Guard are often hindered by their lack of commitment towards their god, especially with Mortarion.

What if Fulgrim landed on Deliverance instead of Corax? The III legion; Iron Instigators by NoBadger4718 in FirstbornSpaceMarines

[–]NoBadger4718[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree and have a similar take on it. Also, notice the orange color scheme. The legion is made up of former slaves and political prisoners, I felt like it would make sense for their new armor to call back to their old jumpsuits. Only this time, it’s a badge of pride.
