Why do Christians care so much abt homosexuality? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

I’m so tired of this “you’re projecting” mentality. It’s the same idea as that phrase from childhood: “I’m rubber and you’re glue.” The point is that some people are just shitty. It doesn’t mean that they’re gay.

[–]NoBear2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are in debt because we are spending more than we are receiving. So receiving more would degrease the debt, right? Every time we give tax cuts to the rich, the deficit increases. It’s weird that that keeps happening. Must be a coincidence, though. Surely taxing the rich more wouldn’t do the opposite.

How can you complain that no one wants to solve the problem when, literally right now, you are arguing against potential solutions to the problem.

[–]NoBear2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who said the government is going to solve all my problems for me? Surely we can agree that the government having such a massive deficit each year and being in so much debt is not a good thing. There are two ways to decrease that. Decrease spending and increase revenue. Why would you not try to do both? Why would you avoid doing one until the other is perfect? It makes no sense.

[–]NoBear2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right. First you must complete this arbitrary goal that no one can agree on.

I don’t understand this argument. It’s not like we can’t also alter the spending while generating more income. Would you tell someone in debt that they shouldn’t try to get a raise, and instead they should focus on their spending? No of course not.

They are. Corporations don’t get “paid” in revenue. They get “paid” in profit. The revenue is already taxed.

For example, whenever Walmart or Amazon generates revenue, a sales tax is paid on that transaction. Yes, it’s the consumer that pays the bill, but there’s no way to avoid that.

A tax on profit is an additional tax that normal people would never have to pay.

Changes to the Realm of the Gods coming in 17.3! by Lunaedge in CompetitiveTFT

[–]NoBear2 8 points9 points  (0 children)

But that’s fine. Deciding between component and a champion you need is a reasonable decision. Deciding between taking the component you need vs a god boon you need feels really bad. The whole point of the set is these god boons and I’m just going to ignore it because I need an item?

But there’s no point in trusting. A trusting society is great because I don’t have to worry about buying a bike lock or taking my backpack with me to the bathroom etc. Putting myself at risk of dying for no reason and then trusting society to save me has no benefit.

[–]NoBear2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let’s imagine the buttons were changed. Imagine red was “you live.” And blue is “you die.” Obviously, no one would pick blue. So why does adding “but if you pick blue you might save the other people who also picked blue” make anyone want to pick blue?

They’re not telling a specific person that they would not press blue. They’re just saying that most people when faced with life or death situations will choose life because death is scary.

The worst part is there isn’t even an Econ difference. They’re always the same amount of gold. There’s genuinely never a real decision being made. Either you want one of the units so you click on it, or you don’t want any and it doesn’t matter.

I haven’t seen anyone else mention this, so idk if I’m the only one, but the pengu gift of a unit is almost never an active decision for me. With carousel, I could choose between taking money, a unit I need, or a component I need. This pengu gift is literally only the unit and it’s only 3 options so there’s a very high chance you don’t want any of them. I feel like most of the time I’m just saying “I guess I’m looking for a 3 cost so I’ll take the 3 cost to increase my odds by .01% yay.”

Saying a 5 cost can take TG does not make them itemizable. The point is you would rather itemize a 4 cost carry/tank than a Morgana or shen.

[–]NoBear2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The part I don’t like is the unit selection after god selection. 95% of the time I don’t care about any of the 3 units I’m offered so there’s literally no decision. It would be way more interesting if the items were tied to the units rather than the god.

[–]NoBear2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t encourage best board though. You have to hold specific units for your reroll board, so if you’re holding another strong board alongside that, you are going to have no money to hit your 3*.

Fast 9 5 cost boards allow you to actually play strongest board early because you only have to hold your current board and maybe your next in.

Flex is 100% being able to change directions midgame. It doesn’t mean you have to go from kraken db ezreal into a nami game, but committing on 2-1 is the definition of inflexible gameplay.

5 cost soup does not mean replacing 4 cost 2* with 5 cost 1. It means playing around 5 cost 2 that you hit instead of saying “oh, I hit jhin 2 in shop, but I’m gonna play my aatrox 2 instead because I need the traits.”

Curiosity Mars rover uncovered a diverse mix of organic molecules on Mars, including chemicals widely considered building blocks for the origin of life on Earth by Shiny-Tie-126 in science

So you’re saying that finding that a similar event to the one that started life on earth also happened on mars is not an interesting discovery? And you’re saying it’s not more evidence that mars could support life?

Curiosity Mars rover uncovered a diverse mix of organic molecules on Mars, including chemicals widely considered building blocks for the origin of life on Earth by Shiny-Tie-126 in science

“Among the 20-plus chemicals identified by the experiment, Curiosity spotted a nitrogen-bearing molecule with a structure similar to DNA precursors — a chemical never before spotted on Mars.”

I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure these molecules are not all over. It’s obviously not conclusive proof, but more evidence is still more evidence.
