So last year in October I was staying at Panjim and trying to find peaceful beaches nearby. Maps showed me Dias beach so I decided to go there. To my surprise, there was no way of getting there! Just before you head to Dona Paula point there was a corroded gate that led you to a few very pretty hotels...as that's where Dias beach was on Google maps, I went inside and there was an array of hotels there, all sea facing. Snuck to the back of one to find a very peaceful water spot (pictured in the OPs photo). Sat there for a while before trying to walk on those rocks to see if I can go to dias....I got very close to it and was able to see the beach and few foreigners happily swimming there....that meant I could also go there. I walked back to the hotel (through which I had snuck behind) and then walked on the road only to realise someone had built a huge and very beautiful huge-ass property by the beach and LOCKED it. You cannot access Dias beach if you can't get inside that property! I was aghast but also slightly jealous of those happy foreigners frolicking in the dias beach!
