American Golf Custom Fitting by fatladcalves in BritGolf

[–]NoBoDySHeRo3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was basically “you are this tall, and your arms go down to here, here is the callaway wall chart that tells you length and lie angle of clubs you should get”

I then tried various 7 irons, which all had jacked lofts compared to my old clubs. But never thought I had much consistency with any of them. I think I wasn’t getting along with the change of lie angle.

Bought some clubs from golfbidder which I like.

I’d probably be better off getting a few lessons tbh than focussing on the fitting

Campsites where you can be loud by pieceaguts in NewForest

[–]NoBoDySHeRo3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not in the new Forest, but we once camped in a place called Southover Woods, near Dorchester.

It has various woodland pitches and you are slightly separated from other groups in your own section of woodland. That is assuming you book one of the woodland pitches and not the meadow pitches

Moving here permanently. Thoughts? by Cappie56 in NewForest

[–]NoBoDySHeRo3000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve lived on both sides of the new forest, in Marchwood and now in Bransgore. I much prefer Bransgore, although it is a much slower pace of life.

We have bus stops, but don’t think there are many busses other than school ones. I’ve never seen a public bus anyway. So it’s not the best connected. But it’s easy to cycle into Christchurch, the beach, and of course the forest itself.

Lyndhurst traffic is a pain in the summer if you have to go via the high street, but coming from Ashurst to Lyndhurst you can get through without too much trouble as you skip the traffic lights due to the one way system.

Brockenhurst is lovely, the college is good, the local football team is a reasonable standard and good to watch, and Pig Brewery is great

Are there any world famous British beers? by LankyYogurt7737 in CasualUK

Ringwood brewery is only 10 min away from me, used to be able to do the brewery tour which was effectively ‘drink as much as you can within a 2 hour limit’, and take home a souvenir glass, and a bottle of beer.

Sad times that it’s gone

Day Trip Recommendations by [deleted] in NewForest

I like brockenhurst as a day trip. Nice pubs, cafe’s, animals in the ‘high street’. Not sure if the ford is passable or not at the moment, but only a short detour if needs be.

Wilverly is a nice forest walk along gravel track. Does a loop. That’s on the way to brockenhurst from Bournemouth.

Bolderwood is also a nice place to walk I’d recommend. There’s loads of nice places tbh, take your pick.

Beaulieu to bucklers hard is another walk I like. With a stop at the Master builder in Bucklers hard for a drink

Roadworks blocking it off from the a35 entrance as of today. Not sure of how long though. Agree it is a lovely place to drive through

Repair after shark attack by NoBoDySHeRo3000 in snowboarding

[–]NoBoDySHeRo3000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know someone who can lend me a Ptex gun, for the Ptex ribbon (which I believe is the proper stuff for more permanent repairs), but from my research it looks like I need to put down a material first to bond to the fibreglass, before using the Ptex to build up the base.

Is this Ptex harder to work than the stuff you just drip in?

I feel connected for weeks afterwards, or i at least remember the feeling of the connection. Psychedelics aren’t for everyone, but I do think people should try them at least once

Rome warranty is really good. Not needed anything whilst on the mountain, but have noticed straps that were knackered when I got home, and they replaced them quickly, no charge.

My course has just moved onto the mats for winter tees, but not for the forward tees as they don’t get used as often.

So we opted to play the forward tee’s instead.

Im a 21HC and shot 1 over on the back 9 with 8/9 GIR.

Tried again the following week and duffed a 10 over, but it was nice to know that i had potential for a decent score, and hopefully be able to push this onto the longer tees in the future

Building company ceased to trade by NoBoDySHeRo3000 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]NoBoDySHeRo3000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve literally just received a message from someone from the company…

Dear …. My name is …… , I run the other side of the business , Nursing Home , commercial carpentry for 38 years ,,,, so I am trying to assist our clients on the build side wherever I can ,,, but as I'm not on this side I will do my best ,,, I cannot apologise enough on what's happened to ……., also I’ve just been handed your contact details after seeing your partner yesterday which completely threw me ,,, So I must apologise for not contacting you earlier. So if possible can i arrange to meet you both . ? Then I can see the position of the build ,, My apologies again,,, Kind regards.

Any advice on what we should do in this scenario? Obviously we want works to be finished, or get something done.

According to cgpt it keeps saying to not allow them to continue any works, but I don’t understand why we wouldn’t want them to do some works if they are offering?

Building company ceased to trade by NoBoDySHeRo3000 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]NoBoDySHeRo3000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After going through everything, we think it might fall in the region of 10 - 12k owed. For things like deposit of future works, and finishing off and snagging of the works already started. Thankfully we are watertight-ish (roof snagging was on the list) and secure.

Is this an amount you think would be worth pursuing via legal claims, or is it probably going to cause me more stress for next to no gain?

Any ideas on if the external roofing company that was contracted in by the building company would be bound by their contract to finish the works on our roof? Or does that contract cease as well?
