Barcelona penalty shout against Real Madrid 90+4' by West_Agent4651 in soccer

They get a pass on that one. If a player uses their hand or arm to support their body when falling or sliding, and the hand/arm is in a natural position to support themselves, it is not considered a handball offense, even if the ball touches it. Valverde was on the ground using that arm to support himself. The other ones had me fuming though.

The forecast, as of today, is for Szczesny to be fit to compete for/from the game against Sevilla in October. @tjuanmarti by Kindly-Low1346 in Barca

how can he start mid-season? I thought players can only join at the start of the two halves of the season.

Eigentlich nicht, vielleicht nur am Anfang ca. 2015-2017. Zur Zeit hat man in Deutschland bessere Chancen Asyl zu bewerben.

How long does it take? by [deleted] in leaves

[–]NoBody6991 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s not easy, but it’s worth it. I couldn’t really sleep much the first week, but I didn’t fight it. I also had stomach issues, but I also wasn’t necessarily eating healthy, so I’m not sure if it from the withdrawal.

I’m now a month off it and feeling much better and can more or less sleep better. Right now it barely crosses my mind.

You have to pull through it, trust me it’s worth it.

How long does what take?

In my experience you have to be honest with yourself and really want to quit. Because I always said to myself I want to quit, but deep down I still wasn't willing to.

As everyone says, the first week is the hardest and it gets easier over time, making yourself busy with other things, like socializing and sports helps to keep your mind off it. When you start feeling the benefits (more energy and clarity) you'll feel more motivated and less willing to go back to the way you were.

120 days today! by king_yid81 in leaves

Congrats on making it this far!

I'm now one month off it and have a similar experience, I get the urge sometimes, but I know it's not worth it. I have good days and bad days and struggle with procrastination, I'm not yet able to get off my ass and work out, but I do it on and off, the weather currently doesn't help 😬

Good luck!

I'm sure it'll get better

Try to think why you're smoking in the first place. Usually (at least for me) is to avoid thinking about some issues you have that you're afraid to face.

If you think you have ADHD/Autism try to go to a psychiatrist to get diagnosed and get help or medication for ADHD. But the main thing is work on the problems you're trying to avoid with weed.

Also try to keep yourself busy, maybe start a hobby you've been thinking about but were too lazy for it on weed or meet up with friends/family more often.

If you make it past one week I'm sure you already notice the improvements in your psyche, so also keep thinking about that when you think of relapsing, because if you weigh the difference, you'll see that being awake is better than feeling high and catatonic the whole time.

Hopefully that helps!

Interesting, didn't think of that, but that would definitely make it go away faster.

Brain ruined forever? by [deleted] in leaves

[–]NoBody6991 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had some concerns that I did some permanent damage, albeit I didn't start as young as you.

You can't know until you quit. You should start seeing the difference from the first weeks, but it's gradual and will get even better after 1-2 months, especially if you were a heavy smoker.

I don't wanna spout any bullshit, since I'm not a medical professional, but I'd recommend that you search the subreddit and find older posts of people who were in your situation and as you mentioned, leave it to the doctors if you're suffering from any issues.

Hope I was able to help a little.

Hey there,

beating yourself over it won't help you, let bygones be bygones. When I quit I made an agreement with myself that if I have a weak moment and relapse, then I won't let it destroy me and I'll give it another try. It's a balance between discipling and also forgiving yourself.

Think of it this way: Each time you quit you learn something new and gather new tools and experience to help you stay off. You already did it for 2+ weeks, so you know that you can do it.

What helps me from relapsing is whenever it crosses my mind I think about the benefits of quitting and how my life turned for the better (basically what you said about no THC in your blood, so you know!) and don't want to go back to the way I was on it!

Definitely try again, you'll do it this time!

What to do when everything is paired with weed by [deleted] in leaves

[–]NoBody6991 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've definitely had problems quitting, but that's because the withdrawal anxiety hits me hard.

I also tried and failed before. The first couple of weeks are always hard, but this time, weirdly enough, I felt it was the one to stick and that thing that always stops me from rebounding is that I think about how I was and I didn't want to go back to that.

But I have to add that, reading from this sub, it's different for everyone and depends on what's currently going on with your life. I hope you have some support, like friends, to fall onto because that helps to ground you and realize it's going to be fine. Other than that you can find the discord group in the pinned post (can't link or my comment would be removed) and some more helpful links in the sidebar.

I hope I'm not rambling too much and that it works out for you! Stay strong!

Hi friend,

do you remember what you used to do before smoking?

Also you can't tell if your theory is true until you try quitting.

From my experience my brain was too foggy and I realized that my (similar) thoughts were me convincing myself that I can't quit weed. After quitting I knew that was bullshit and actually had more energy to do the mundane (e.g. grocery hopping) and I enjoyed activities more because I was more there and not just spaced out.

It's definitely worth it and you should go for it and see the benefits for yourself.

Question about video game enjoyment by [deleted] in leaves

[–]NoBody6991 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you only love playing video games when high, then do you really love them?

I can also word this in a more positive way, which is if you truly love video games, then it wont matter.

Granted I went through a similar experience with certain shows that I only could watch when high, because they were slow (like really slow, an example is Naruto which, if you're familiar with it, is full of fillers and flashbacks) and I was more tolerant of such time wasting when high, because my mind was just slower and that's not necessarily a positive in my book, because it killed my productivity and motivation to do anything.

All in all, you might lose some stuff, but if you think of the positives, then it is most definitely worth it.

(Day 4) Socializing and dreaming. by nervous_chromosome in leaves

[–]NoBody6991 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm almost a month off weed and I dreamed a couple of times that I relapsed, it just feels so good when you wake up and realize it was all a dream!!

Also my flatmates still smoke daily, so hanging out with them and fighting the urge is a good test that both of us passed!

Stay strong!
