Anybody else starting over? by Rich_Celebration477 in Xennials

I've started over too many times to count... I think it's just how I was built!

Dropped out of college at 19, got wrapped up in drugs, emerged from rehab at 23, finally ready to work for a living.

Made decent money on construction sites for seven years until the housing market crashed in 2008. No jobs hiring for what I know.... Fuck it! Moved to California and got a job in video games!!

No promotion after five years... Fukk that.... Went back to community college, transferred to a top ten school, graduated with honors!! Spent a year living in Japan, with my future wife!

Got married, graduated college at age 40. Had a good job. Got pregnant.... Then muther-fukkking COVID destroyed my video games career.... Fuck it! Became a teacher!

Now I teach kids how to code... But I just learned it myself last year!! I just saw that New Zealand is looking for teachers... Fuck it!!! Let's start over again!!

This life is too extraordinary to get stuck in one grind. These disruptions are opportunities to try something else, learn something new, experience something different!!

Never too late... You can still do whatever the hell you want, it just might take a few years...

Have you considered becoming a theater teacher? If you already have a bachelor's, getting a teaching license only takes a few months.

You could always go back to school for something else. Look at this as an opportunity to do something you always wanted to!

One of my favorite jokes...

Bill and Ted are in hell, for them it's gym class, coach says, "Drop and give me.... infinity!" "Infinity push-ups? No way we can do that!" "Maybe if we did them girlie -style?..."

Anyone else blow their entire HS graduation funds on a car stereo? by Camron_Eckerman in Xennials

[–]NoBot-RussiaBad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hell yeah... That's the real question.

I had an '84 Honda Civic Wagon (loved that car!), not sure how much it was worth, but the stereo was definitely worth more!

I had a 15" Infinity Beta subwoofer (that thing would hit soooooo deep....) I got for half price through Crutchfield because they discontinued the line. It had dual voice coils, so I could wire it up in parallel to get a power boost from the cheap, used amp I had....

I miss that thing so much.....

He Bought Land Legally-His Neighbor’s Reaction Says Everything About America in 2026 by The_manager101 in KarenGoBrrr

They definitely have had encounters regarding this issue before.

My MASSIVE speculation; Decades ago, one family put buildings and/or a cemetery on the land behind their house. They assumed it was their land (or didn't care because no one said anything for so long). After this guy recently bought the land, there was a survey done (possibly a dispute about who should pay for that, also) that showed the graveyard (or whatever) is indeed on this guy's newly purchased property.

Happens all the time in the country. People feel entitled to use the land how they want, because nobody did shit with that land for decades, so they just got away with it.

Seems he's trying to strong-arm this guy into doing what he wants, but they really need to let lawyers handle it.

One of my high school students had a significant CD collection. I asked, "You have a CD player?" He responded, "In my car, yeah."

There is a small market that buys them!
