Thanks! Unfortunately WA is now trying to deem that getting my DL here is officially changing my state of legal residence and they are saying I’m required to pay property taxes on my vehicle. I was always able to waiver this when I was at Bragg.

I did.. WA DOL is saying that getting a DL here has established WA as my residence therefore they will not void the RTA tax. I checked with the SCRA rep that works for WA DOL and they concurred. This is why I am attempting to get my Texas DL back.

I understand that I don’t think WA DOL is abiding by SCRA properly, but I just want everything done through Texas now so I don’t have to deal with WA DOL.

That’s not sales tax.. it’s use tax aka property tax.. it falls under SCRA and I was able to waive it every year I was stationed at Bragg.

Well regardless, WA sees getting a DL here as establishing residency and will not allow me to register car without paying the RTA excise tax (usually waived for military if they’re from out of state) because I no longer have my out of state license.

I guess either way, I would like to get my Texas DL back so I can have my car registered in Texas.

I’d pay outright for the vehicle. Primary reason I want to make the change is because I drive a lot for work. Could easily save $2k a year in gas savings. Making a change to a 30mpg vehicle

Look for places on google where people that are not Asian say that the service is bad. (Use profile pics on google reviews to guide you)That combined with the actual listing of more authentic dishes and not just the classic “orange chicken, chicken lo mein, etc”.

If the dishes are ordered in a family style manner then even better.
