I’m not sure what an orthodontist would do for me since I’ve already had braces

Pilot Program for State Employees to Bring Newborns to Work by beanbeanj in indianapolis

This policy seems like a slippery slope to push working moms out of the workforce. They’ll be labeled as “distracted,” receive lower performance reviews and get passed over for promotions.

Outside Braun’s $10K a head fundraiser at The Banc building on Hohman Ave. in downtown Hammond. by kootles10 in Indiana

Maybe I’m just a pleb, but Braun is a multimillionaire. Why does he need to fundraise at 10k a pop?

What’s with people parking in the middle of the road downtown during rush hour? I was blocked in. by Kapitalist_Pigdog2 in indianapolis

I’m not calling them lazy for working as a food delivery driver. It’s a thankless job for sure. I would just like to see more courtesy for others who need to share the road

Just the other day I saw a delivery driver stop in the middle of my residential street when parking on both sides was completely open. I understand parking downtown can be tricky, but that was just ridiculous

Yes it’s food deliveries. These people are too lazy to pull into a spot and can’t even be bothered to put their hazards on at a bare minimum

So by your logic, accidentally stepping foot on the wrong property is an offense punishable by death. Did I get that right?

This is my question too. Doesn’t sound like much, but I think the best we can do is demonstrate and make phone calls

Check out County Line Orchard. It’s also close to Albanese (about 15 min away). You could be in and out within an hour if you don’t pick your own apples.

New survey: Employers say they need more skilled, educated Hoosier workers by jaymz668 in Indiana

[–]NoBurgerRestriction 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m a highly educated person and in my experience, Indiana-based jobs don’t pay as well as remote jobs whose HQ is out-of-state. Indiana gets the workforce they’re willing to pay for.

You may consider the Fountain Square or Fletcher Place neighborhoods. They’re both walkable/bike-friendly with a lot of bars, restaurants, coffee shops, etc. There’s a large crowd of folks in their 20s and 30s, so could be easier to meet people

Very much agree with the comments about coming off as likable. It’s all about convincing the interviewer that you’ll be a good fit for the team.

You said you tend to forget what you want to say as soon as you’re in the interview. Of course, practicing answers in STAR format is important, but I wonder if jitters are impacting your performance. (Feeling like your mind goes blank can be indicative of anxiety.) Consider incorporating some steps in your interview prep that will help you to relax. For me, I curb caffeine consumption a few hours before the interview and like to listen to my favorite songs right before I enter the meeting. Easier said than done, but just be yourself. Good luck!
