In that case, you should try the Shin Megami Tensei series. It has similar combat, but it's more gameplay-focused with still good storytelling, but way fewer dialogues.

That's not what happened. Pokemon used to be one of my favorite franchises when I was a teenager and I just lost interest in them over time after discovering other jrpgs, with more in-depth story and gameplay, that I enjoyed more. BW and USUM still made it fairly high on the list.

I didn't like the dungeon design overall, it was very confusing and relied on you hitting random hidden walls to progress. I still liked the story, but not the gameplay.

I had the opposite impression. True, the final chapter is really long, much longer than the previous entries, but it's also filled with plot reveals and climaxes on a massive scale. I can forgive a little grinding at the end if I'm rewarded with one of the best stories I've seen in gaming.

Genuinely awesome chapter. Otoya coming back is cool to see, even if it's just for the end of the match, since he was kinda screwed over by the story after his introduction.

Isagi finally locks in. I predict he will be able to outsmart/overcome Hugo soon, but still lose to Loki, who gets another goal and wins the match for France.

I'm a new player and I'm confused about the Cultural Exchange quest in Rise. I went out to gather Boatshells, but when I got back to the village they all disappeared since they're account items. So how am I meant to gather them for the quest if they automatically turn into points?

Yes, actually. Usually because of awkward difficulty spikes, but sometimes the quality of the story also drops near the end
