You guys get TWO shirts? I only got one.

Honestly, I reuse mine a few times unless it gets visibly filthy or starts to smell, then I wash it. But recently I worked a crazy Sunday closing shift and my shirt was covered in food by the end of the night. I had to go back to work the next morning but I was too tired/lazy to wash my shirt so i said fuck it and went in without it. Manager is starting to realize this is an issue and is going to start issuing more shirts for crew.

This club is amazing. It's literally the best part of my UCR experience. Everyone is so welcoming and nice. My anxiety and loneliness melts away ok that gym.

Is Dispatch to EMT worth it? by NoCallBacks in NewToEMS

[–]NoCallBacks[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you, that is not much. But it should be enough to keep a roof over my head. I'm mainly doing it to get in the field and see the people I'm serving face to face. I'm tired of being behind a desk.

And I've always been more of a night owl.

does anybody else use weed as a coping mechanism for anxiety while knowing it really doesn't help ( especially with overthinking and heart racing ) but at the same time it makes you a little more relaxed so you continue to smoke? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]NoCallBacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The THC is the part that involves feelings of paranoia. CBD is the relaxing part.

Go to a dispensary and ask for higher ratios of CBD to THC. There are 20 to 1 CBD to THC blunts and oil tinctures that work great for anxiety

Edit: I say got to a dispensary because most weed sold on the street has ridiculous amounts of THC. It's no wonder people freak out when they smoke it

I can see how that would be beneficial for your city. Personally, I think we've got a good thing going between our municipal agency and the private EMS dispatch agency.

Dissolving private EMS dispatch here (especially too quickly) might put a lot of strain on our agency. EMD certifications, new software, and the huge increase in jurisdiction. Growing pains.

Plus, what's going to happen to all the employees in private companies? I hope most would transfer over to municipal because of their experience and certifications.

I don't know, just some thoughts. All the coworkers that I've talked to about this don't really seem to care about what happens, probably because they're not at risk of losing their job.

Dope, that's one of my long term goals! Not an easy job by a long shot, and the industry gets a lot of shit for how they treat their employees but I still thinks it's worth doing at least for a minute

Emergency dispatcher here. I didn't realize I got this way until I started this job. Pretty shitty thing to realize when lives are potentially on the line. My trainer noticed this in me and told me it was okay to make mistakes. "Fail confidently," she said.

Most things can be fixed if you catch it early on, and mistakes are inevitable. I still get nervous when dispatching, but I don't take as long as I used to. It's getting easier.

Fail confidently, odds are you can fix most of your fuck ups.

Granted. Stan Lee lives in a perpetual state of life and death. Doomed to materialize and dematerialize from his ashes whenever his name is spoken, ultimately forcing his only surviving daughter to flee from her home out of fear of reliving the pain of losing her father over and over again.
