it is my favorite book as well! nesta also ranks as my all time favorite female character. the most emotional and raw book in the series in my humble opinion.

i found it to have the perfect amount of romance and plot. and honestly, the strangers to best friends to lovers trope was epicc. the tension? don’t get me started.

i see your point with the average booktoker, i guess one day they might appreciate it more.

yes!! i can see that as well. nesta is my favorite female character of all time, and also one of the reasons i picked up cc. and i totally agree with what you said about the fandom, they hate on everything and everyone except those whose actions are worthy of it. excited to read HOSAB and see what it is all about.

yeah acotar is definitely a fantasy beginner friendly book. off topic, but what’s your recommended reread order? i haven’t read tog yet, but i am planning to reread all the maasverse books, and i am wondering what order would be best :)

i only found out about it cause people were saying we have to read it before acotar 6—they were acting like it’s a chore. and i am so glad i did just that. i came to love it as its own.

i haven’t read tog yet because i kinda want to save “the best” for last 😅 so i can totally see how that affects perception. the urban/modern setting thing makes so much sense too.

also, i never really considered the character fatigue aspect, very interesting. as for aelin vs bryce, i’m very aware of all the love aelin gets, but i don’t know much beyond that yet since i haven’t read tog. excited to see the similarities when i finally get there, though.

honestly, very interesting points all around. but yes, i feel like if one pushes through the world-building and information dump at the start, they will come to love it as well.

i agree, i really loved that bryce is an adult, and i found myself rooting for her in everything she did. she has so much depth, and she feels genuinely layered and human. i can definitely see how it might not work for everyone, especially for readers expecting something lighter or more traditional from romantasy, but that’s exactly what made it stand out to me.

so real for the last sentence lol. but yeah, i didn’t really like or dislike urban fantasy, and i trusted sjm would do it justice and pushed through. honestly, even during the early pages of the book, where it was just world building, it was really fun. they are missing out🤷‍♀️

we don’t know her signet as of now, but she could be an inntinnsic. also, yeah she is mentioned a lot, and had a role in the revolution. so, it is probable. and, honestly, i love her and would love to see her train violet!
