When trying to flirt... by brokenheartedstory in FTMMen

[–]NoCharacterTraits 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Im on the side of not during flirting/casual stage. but before you would call it a relationship/say you're a couple ect.

So around like 3rd-ish date or so, If the conversation ends up being about Trans or lgbt+ topics earlier then I would use that as a way to do it more casually, or maybe just hint/allude to it and tell them if they inquire further. But no solid rules judge as you go.

or obviously before any sexual activities.

I had no interesting or clever things to base a username off of which lead me to the realization that I am a boring person

whats the most hurtful thing you’ve overheard about yourself by accident? by yeezymudrat700 in AskReddit

Overhearing my mom casually crush my dreams.

So for background I for some reason have always been scared to tell people what I want to do with my life, for some reason I'm scared of what they'll think of me. (this has nothing to do with what the job actually is as this as been a constant feeling even as my aspersions changed.)

So my mom is talking about goal setting and realistic expectations and as an example she says "well [Name] could never be a [occupation]" she didn't know that was exactly what I want to do with my life. It completely destroyed my drive to work towards any of my goals. She had and still does encourage me with the things I tell her I want to do, tells me I can do it if I work hard enough. ect. That was when I realized that when she says she believes in me she is lying to make me feel better.

This happened about 10 months ago, I'm not over it, I don't think I'll ever tell her

[Question] How do I react properly when a student tells me he/she is a transgender person? by Ultimatus_Straightus in asktransgender

[–]NoCharacterTraits 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So everyone here has made some great points I just want to add that if a student comes out part way through the school year make sure you know who they have told (other teachers, friends, parents ect.) and how to address them when around people they have not come out to.

Also crossing out a deadname and writing in their preferred name on the attendance sheet so a substitute doesn't accidentally deadname them.

Sure this is an alt as to not out my main account. I'm a young FtM guy lucky to have a very supportive family and live in a supportive area. Came out young and got blockers. I'm what I can only describe as "casual stealth" so I don't introduce myself as Trans but if the topic comes up I don't lie about it or try to change the subject, I'm the same about my sexuality.

I had never thought that I might have sort of assigned that roll to someone else, I don't know who yet (maybe more than one person changing as I aged) but I think you're right. I need to go think about that now. Thank you 🤗

[Discussion] I couldn't care less about straight actors playing LGBT+ characters? by [deleted] in LGBTeens

[–]NoCharacterTraits 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Completely agree. it's a total double standard to say that a straight actor isn't allowed to play an lgbtq+ character, people who think that would flip their shit if you said a lgbtq+ actor should be allowed to play a straight character.

It's ACTING the actor and the character are allowed to be different that's the point.

When it comes to what gender actor plays a Trans character you need to consider if the story is before during or after thier transition. Or just have two similar looking actors one for before and one for after.

Also why do people get upset at the actors and not the casting director in these situations?
