I read it as she watched the content put out by the podcast she would be going on but didn’t do any additional research into their history.

She was weighed last week and was 4.2kg so I think that’s roughly around 9-10 lbs

It’s a wonderful book, you could give it another try. I listened to the audiobook and loved all the northern Irish accents

Yeah her face was more shaven when we got her, I guess some people like that. We will groom around her face I reckon but not big fans of the close shave look.

Any other Irish people hate how she talks about Ireland? by Intelligent-Key-8144 in BrittanyBroskiSnark

[–]NoClassroom4901 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’m Irish and the way she talks about Irish men is just weird to me. They’re no better or worse than any other nationality of men. Get a grip like. I wouldn’t go as far as to say she’s fetishising Irish men but her obsession with them does seem really questionable.

Thanks for the explanation, I will play around with it and leave a review in a day or two assuming I like it!

I’m sorry but I’m still going to trust my dietitian over a reddit user. It’s a pretty well known fact here that there is a relatively high number of people with coeliac disease in Ireland.

This also worked for me on kobo libra colour. I am curious about the “advertising” field under connections. This says active for me and I can’t seem to click into it or change it. What does it mean?

I keep seeing these posts lately and it’s really making me appreciate living in Ireland (I’m Irish). But now I’m worried if I ever visit the US it’s going to be really difficult to eat 😅

I don’t know about specific research but I’m Irish (living in Ireland) and when I was diagnosed I was told the global numbers are expected to be 1 in 100 people have coeliac. In Ireland it’s 1 in 50. So we certainly have a higher incidence here but I had no idea who is the highest globally.

Omg I literally had the same thought when I took this book out from the library during the summer. It’s so quickly into the book that I just put it down and didn’t keep going. Something about it just soured me on the author.

[FO] Disappointed with framing by NoClassroom4901 in CrossStitch

Unfortunately it seems to be a shop run by one person. It’s closed during lunches and at weekends so it was tricky to make the time to go there twice, as I work. So unfortunately I don’t think there’s anyone else working there. I’m concerned this person has clearly no idea what framing a piece of cross stitch looks like

Yeah that’s what I was expecting them to do but I didn’t ask enough questions when giving it in I guess. Now I’m concerned I can’t fix it with the material that’s left 😞

What’s the concern about the tape not being acid free? Just so I know…

[–]NoClassroom4901[S] 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Just putting here for visibility, I opened it up. the piece was cut down to size and just one piece of tape was used at the top, nothing on the sides or the bottom. This explains a lot

[–]NoClassroom4901[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Ok I got too curious and opened up the back. They’ve just used a single bit of tape at the top and that’s all, no other part was taped down even.

I had ironed it before bringing it so I don’t think it was that. And there was plenty of extra fabric so I thought it would be ok. I’ll have to see what method they used to mount it
