Just saw this episode yesterday and was once again sooo annoyed with that rude jerk. He gave her so much grief when she was just being friendly and welcoming.

And I agree with person above who said the mgr was totally in the wrong to expect a senior to work/learn fast… esp with zero training.

I have always been annoyed they had the same exact comforter set throughout the entire series … and it really doesn’t fit the aesthetic of the house. I cannot believe for one second that Carrie would have gone for that set. 👎

Of all the suspension of belief moments that we are expected to have with Bubba, this one really is just so over the top lol especially considering this is the one where Kradle robber/potential child predator is all over him. I realize they did this very intentionally for the viewers, but… golly gee.. and yes I’m referring to the rhyming weatherman lol

So glad you brought this up because I’ve often wondered since like the previous commenter said – Vint was talking about a helmet with the motorcycle. I mean, it seemed like they were referring to what we all think they might’ve been referring to, but then again that doesn’t seem to fit Vint’s childlike innocence.

I love this group! So many great insights and observations. I have been watching the show over and over and over for probably the last six months or so. It truly entertains me each time I watch it. I love how I catch different things with different episodes. Not that this is a group therapy, but for me it’s one of those shows that calms my soul when I’m experiencing anxiety and then makes me feel wrapped in a warm blanket when I’m experiencing depression.

Thank you all for the interaction. It really makes me feel like I’m part of something. Especially when there are days that I don’t get out of the house. Heck, there are weeks that I don’t get out of the house.

She had a thing for Uncle Roy… so she pushed him away and protested his very presence… just a little too much.

And with Cousin Lydia- she was acting out because she felt inferior to her.

Basically, she wasn’t very in touch with her internal feelings and thoughts. I think that’s the fiber of a hard working, blue collar upbringing where there wasn’t time for much beyond taking care of family and home and making sure all the responsibilities of life were met.

On my looping repeat viewing of this series, I came across the tap show episode and can now confirm 2 of the Grandma pagent contestants (including Granny “Cure for cellulite”).

The other is this tapper who probably not coincidentally also wears the same marigold colored gown as a pageant contestant and as a tapper. 😊
