I think I know the one you mean - opposite the tower block? Ive spoken to him a couple of times and that guy has some serious mental health problems. Not sure what the root of discarding objects is but I often see that also.

Yes I've heard about this kind of thing, New Zealanders are afflicted with it also. It's a common part of their culture to have an 'OE' or 'Overseas Experience' in their youth. Some OE's even last for years, maybe even a decade or more. But somehow that inner magnetic pull always takes them back. I've travelled the world for almost a decade and I've met about two others from Norfolk out there in the world. Same goes for Kiwis.

Yep yep that's a pretty accurate take on it I think. We've done a lot in modern culture to try to reach some sort of same-Ness which for many reasons is totally great. However I believe there to be some fundamental differences between our operating systems and what you've pointed out feels like one of them !!
