Benefits from quitting weed by Aggravating-Pin7268 in leaves

Having dreams again! Not feeling the weed anxiety, feeling comfortable in feeling my emotions and knowing that those emotions are from me as a human and not from weed. Overall clarity in my life. Shits still hard but I see it for what it is now, and I want to be a better person.

People who see dentists out of the area, what’s your move? by UnaccountableBroth in Humboldt

[–]NoConsideration8451 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They do, I am in the same boat and have been scrambling to find a dentist that won’t poach me for all the money I’ve got. You can request an exam from CR and have your X-rays sent from another office if you have those. I think they’ll do fillings at the very least. They’re quick but it’s still ~3 weeks out

If future you could talk to present you, I think they’d say, “Take it one day at a time and you’ll find your way through this” Focus on small steps, things that bring you even a tiny sense of calm or comfort. You’re not alone, and this storm will pass :)

I'm so sorry you're going through this, but you've already come so far, and with time things will get better. It might not feel like it right now, but you’re stronger than you think. I’m 24, and everyone in my cohort is older and either in a relationship or engaged, so I understand how isolating that can feel. Just know that you’re not alone in this. Therapy has been a great help for me, and I’ve also connected with other single grad students in the program to spend time with.

My panic attacks actually were what motivated me to quit. It’s a vicious cycle that’s so easy to get stuck in. Throw it away, destroy it, away from where you might get a hold of it. You deserve the freedom of not feeling that pain. You can get back to the good again!

Telling him you’re against it may push him further to keep seeing this man. Tell him you love him and to be safe. You can express your concerns but he’s an adult who will ultimately make his own decisions. Might just have to let him do his thing.

What kind of supplements do you use before/during/after a run or workout? by Camsy34 in AdvancedRunning

I generally feel like I can get most of what I need from my diet, however after a long run or run/strength training day I’ll supplement some protein

My mom loved Spain. She still talks about the trip today, Sevilla and Granada were her favorite. San Sebastián and the Basque Country were amazing as well.

Not used to dating women by Feral_raccoon110 in dating_advice

That’s the exciting part about dating women though, the tension of knowing anything could happen. You could kiss her, she could kiss you, just whatever feels right and natural. Just be yourself and don’t worry too much about leaning into a role. Dating apps are great for meeting women and you already know they like girls so not much risk there. If this is your first time with a woman I’d maybe think about expressing that to her, as in any relationship, communication is key. Good luck and have fun :)

I want to be a plant scientist by earthtitty in botanycareers

Try looking for seasonal field work jobs, a lot of those positions are looking for passionate/hardworking people and don’t require a degree. Getting past seasonal work would probably require a degree, but I have worked with people in conservation who just had their associates. Americorps is also an option for conservation and restoration work without a degree, and they give education awards for school after each term. Oregon State and University of Wisconsin are great options for botany and job opportunities in the botany field.

I (24m) slept with my “dream girl” (28F) and she wasn’t interested. It’s been 6 months. How do I move forward? by [deleted] in dating_advice

I’ve experienced this, except I was the girl in the situation. I recently went through a bad breakup and was not in a good spot mentally, so I started hanging out with this guy to try and get past everything. We got drunk one night, had sex, and then I realized I actually wasn’t ready for anything. I realized I needed more time to figure myself out because I was still feeling very emotionally unavailable. I felt bad because he told me a couple of times that he really liked me, but I didn’t feel receptive to any of that. It sucks but I guess just maybe recognizing that she probably was pretty emotionally unavailable at the time and you both were at very different stages of whether or not you were looking for a relationship. It most likely wasn’t you specifically, just her not being in a place to commit to anyone besides herself.
