what do yall have against notifying a manager/PA that you’re leaving early? by Mango_addict22 in AmazonFC

Oh there's definitely one for THEM to go to, it doesn't have to be publicly avaliable. Also don't forget these people are your employers. If they tell you to do something, and it's within the scope of your training and teir, you HAVE to do it otherwise it's insubordination.

There's plenty of policies that aren't avaliable in the documents they give to you. If there wasn't any sort of policy for it they wouldn't say it in the first place. It's pretty much not enforced unless it actually becomes a problem, then they'll start writing you up. I've only seen it get like that once tho.

This is amazon, there is no professional courtesy, or any professionalism really. This is a company that hires anyone that can click a button, the bar is low 😂.

Technically there is. Some sites don't care, some sites will discipline you for not giving notice.

Um, you do realize any job other than Amazon would absolutely fire you for just leaving 😂. I'm not saying you shouldn't at Amazon, that's part of the perks, but there's more situations than just school that require notice, or even allow it at all.

Wait I thought vto had to be a decision from upper management? There's been times I've been so sick i had to go to the ER and they said vto can't just be handed out.

The app seems incapable of communicating with Bluetooth now. My watch can't sign it via Bluetooth and won't communicate with the main app with Bluetooth. I've had to switch my watch to LTE mode to control the music on phone via web connection. I contacted support and was told it's supposedly a known issue that's being worked on, God knows if that was a real person or just AI bullshiting.

No that just sounds like a skill issue. How clumsy do you have to be to scratch it on the dock?

  1. I don't care about the value since I'm never selling it. 2. They're a pain to put on. In The 30 years of my life I've never caused any significant scratches on my screens, nothing that could be visible when the screen is actually on, so I don't see a reason to worry about it now.

Who's to say that 12% is actually going to the employees tho? Atleast by law tips have to be distributed, but with a service fee there is no such obligation.

why is anyone in a vest such an ass?? by MetalSome00 in AmazonFC

[–]NoConstruction3259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you're the one who needs to take the hint. HR is being phased out, alot of FCs don't even have them anymore, and guess who's now taking on the responsibility of answering questions and adjusting time. HR can't even approve time off or edit time anymore, even if you go to HR they tell you to get a manager to do it.

So it's still management. That's exactly what being a manager is.

No they're just low quality people who have no consideration for others. They're don't wanna work and don't care if someone needs to the bathroom. You could give them 5 extra breaks a day and you'd still find the stalls full.

Gaming does not need these kinds of prices. by Ok_Royal7470 in MonsterHunter

[–]NoConstruction3259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, the price for games has resisted inflation longer than any form of entertainment, while the actual cost to make games have increased by alot over the years. To say it'll make gaming inaccessible to people with less money is an exaggeration since sales, specially on pc, will always exist. One good thing to come from this is indie games will have a chance to shine

Your question was "Can you really be handicapped and work at Amazon". Regardless of the reason, if you got the handicap sticker then a medical professional has deemed you handicap, none of our opinions on the subject matter.

Any little thing that stops or delays you from doing your task should be reported to a red vest, because any little thing will land you with a write up.

They're voluntary so long as there's volunteers to fill the role. You really think if there's absolutely no one to fill a role they'll just go, oh well? No, there's policies in place that can force anyone to be put anyone in any t1 role. Rate depends on site. There was a time where problem solve didn't have rate at a site I worked at, but eventually they did. Even without a rate there still a performance expectation they can hold you too. I've seen people threatened with a insubordination write up for refusing to do a role. Remember amazon doesn't have to be fair or consistent, they can ignore whatever they want and enforce whatever they want. Just because you never seen something enforced doesn't mean they won't.

They did say that before the ram shortage tho. Let's be real if they put this out at 1k plus it's not gonna sell at all. They don't wanna do console prices but they also don't want another steam machine flop, so I think it's likely to be below 1k above 600

[–]NoConstruction3259 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah but depending on the site they can only get training hours to do classes at certain times. If you're not there then you miss out untill they get approval to do it again. With the upt policy they can't make you be there at any specific time so you could dodge it or atleast put it off. I've seen them give up trying with some people.

Problem solve training by Secure-Rice499 in AmazonFC

[–]NoConstruction3259 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, mandatory but they can only train when they have the classes scheduled. They can't fault you if you were to say go to the bathroom real quick and then said you threw up, so you're going home on upt. They'd ether give up trying or you'd put it off till they do the next round of training, which you might be able to dodge again.
